Horrible!! Didn’t answer the phone! Look at the pictures! Disgusting. I ordered a Pad C EW plate and it was awful. All the sauce had spilled on the plate because whoever put the containers in the bag threw them in the bag. The containers were placed sideways. They just wanted to close and didn’t care about the customer. Waist of my money. All the sauce was left in the bag and the noodles were dry! The peanut sauce for the chicken was dry because it also spilled! Awful service. Never will I spend my money at this place. This is what you get from here when you order online. Avoid it! I paid good money to get disgusting food! What do you expect when they are about to close? Garbage for your money! They should have answered the phone and replaced the order, but they didn’t answer.

I’ve eaten here pretty regularly for over 5 years now. Not a fancy place but offers a good selection and the food is always well prepared, the servers are attentive and the prices are very reasonable.

The lunch special menu is typical Asian fair and an excellent value- which is getting to be pretty rare these days.

My daughter recommended this place for a meal after a day out.

Wish I could say we dined in but I generally lack the motivation for such things. The place looked adequate for such things. However, the take out we ordered was done in about 15-20 minutes. I ordered the Thai BBQ and inhaled it once we got home. They ordered stuff too, and while they cannot eat as quickly as I can they seemed to enjoy it. Was reasonably priced, think the bill was under 40 and the staff I interacted with were nice.

Will probably get prodded into dining here (or getting take out) by my eldest. Good stuff.

05/29/22 – Had a wonderful lunch with three very good friends here today. I ordered the Charlie’s Special for my time. Outstanding! The mushrooms were the perfect touch, and all four of us enjoyed our meals tremendously. The restaurant was clean, the staff friendly and very helpful, and the food absolutely unbeatable. I love going to Thai Arawan to eat, where every meal is comfort food!

VERDICT: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Sunday nights can find us in a food desert here in Amarillo, but there are a few places open. Thai Arawan is one of them, and we chose it not just out of convenience, but also because we’ve had good experiences here in the past. This visit was no exception.

Youngest Daughter ordered the Khao Soi, which arrived in an enormous bowl. Essentially, it is a flavorful curry filled with egg noodles and bean sprouts, and topped with crispy egg noodles. She found the heat to be just to her liking, meaning not so spicy as to be impossible to eat, yet enough to remind her this was curry. There was so much in this serving that she was lucky to eat half of it; she gladly took the rest home for lunch the next day.

I ordered the Yellow Curry. I had noticed that the list of proteins did not contain tofu, yet there was a tofu dish elsewhere on the menu. So I asked if they would be so kind as to sub tofu for meat, which they gladly did. My order came with a huge serving of steamed rice as well.

But I just say that at first I was surprised that my dish was not at all hot on the spice scale. That, was because the vegetable at the top had merely been grazed by the curry sauce, and were cabbage, broccoli, and zucchini, tasty in their own right, but also a little out of place.

Silly me. My bad. I should have scooped down a little lower, because once I hit the bottom half of the dish, my mouth exploded in both flavor and heat. Oh my! This was some of the best curry I have ever had! I could not only taste it, I could feel it on my tongue. If you like curry, this is a great choice. It was hot, but not devastatingly so.

I’ll just say that my tongue tingled for about an hour. That’s the way I like it when I eat Thai. We’ll definitely be back again.

Has always been good. I do believe that this is one of the best Chinese/Thai restaurants that I’ve ever had. Only beat by another place that isn’t even in the country. Anyways the service is always excellent and nice. The food tastes authentic and the presentation is usually good.
They have a nice variety of entrees and plenty of customization opportunities.
The menus, tables and other things could use some updating but they’re already on that!
I do recommend this place if you want good, cheap, Chinese food.

Southeast Asian restaurant with mildly-seasoned fare. We ordered takeout recently, getting the pork Arawan Pad Thai, chicken Arawan Spicy, tom yum noodle soup, and a half order of pork satay. They portions were good on the entrees, but the satay seemed a bit skimpy even for a half order. The flavor on everything was pretty mild and bland. I added white pepper, garlic powder, and chili oil to the Arawan Spicy because it needed some life. The veggies seemed fresh except the carrots tasted like the chewy, previously frozen type. Service was good during the pickup process. It might be worth a try if you need nearly spiceless food. They do promote being BYOB.

The dumpster ate our food, cuz we sure didn’t, waste of money! This was my family’s first time here and it was awful the food was dry tasted plain and like cardboard. The egg rolls and chicken were burnt I ordered beef jerky and literally received 5 thin slices that we absolutely did not eat and no sticky rice but yet was charged for sticky rice. The summer rolls weren’t full or complete. For my family of 5 we literally received 2 small containers of hot sauce!? Hair in food. Oh and the front desk service was horrible-rude. Never again and I do not recommend!

Waitress really great. I think the tomatoes were not good in my combo fried rice. Throw them out. I added broccoli. I left the dish there In a to go box. Shrimp rolls excellent. Waitress brought it to me at register. Gave 50 percent tip. Cooks do better.
