The toast as brioche is just ok in our opinion, and the sausage patty could use an upgrade.
Super friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks for having us!
Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I’ll give you the reasons why I will definitely return .
Based upon my son’s Google research, my desire for a good burger, and my craving for a donut/doughnut, we met in the middle at this location. I was coming from Cleveland and he was driving up from Tuscaloosa; one hour on both ends. Of course I made it to the restaurant first and was hungry. He was playing with my emotions by taking his sweet time. I decided to have a donut/doughnut for my troubles . They were out of a few selections at the time of order so, I purchased the “OG”. The young man at the counter was willing to give me the doughnut/donut free of charge for the inconvenience. I paid because it was our choice to come at such a late hour. I was hungry guys… that doughnut/donut didn’t have a chance . By the time I thought of capturing the moment, I’d pretty much swallowed the whole thing…sorry not sorry . As I waited, I was able to take in the atmosphere. They have a viewing window where the magic happens. Once my son and his young lady friend arrived we ordered burgers. I totally forgot to take photos but trust me…it was delicious. I’m not a sesame seed fan so I pulled the top layer of the bun off. The staff were awesome. The young man at the counter told me that they had fresh doughnuts/donuts. Numerous staff stopped at the table to check on us and grab unused dishes out of the way. My maple doughnut/donut was DEEE-lish-us (yes I know it’s misspelled)!!!
It’s an hour away but I will definitely return. I was told that they just opened a new location in Montgomery. I lobbied for a shop in T-town. Maybe they’ll consider it. In the meantime…go check it out.
The staff was amazing – the atmosphere is warm, inviting and professional. Everything you could hope for! I can’t wait to go back and try a burger!
Go. Enjoy. Treat yourself!
