Reviews
Upon first entrance the place is fun and poses a delicious sweet treat that gives fuzzies. The bright colors adds “good times” to your arrival. The restaurant was clean, tidy, and everyone at the counter was extremely friendly! (Parking can be difficult so the earlier you go the better)
The food was solid, I wouldn’t go out of my way to indicate delicious or unforgettable. The only thing I tasted that was outstanding was turkey club. (Not my order) All together not a bad spot and definitely happy vibes strolling through there. The food is priced about average, nothing crazy. (if it were I would mention it)
Happy Eating!
Cons: park and walk, drinks are meh
I say that you have to park and walk, but I think there’s a parking garage nearby, so you don’t have to walk that far if you can’t find street parking. More importantly, they have lots of freshly made treats and they all taste delicious!!! The coffee drinks were ok, nothing too spectacular (they’re ok, just not super flavorful), but you will definitely need something to wash the pastries down with. If you want overly sweet treats, they have those, if you want not-too-sweet treats, they have those too. I strongly recommend the Kouign-Amann (sweet, but not overly so), and the seasonal cruffins (for something sweeter). Also, even though the line was super long–its usually out the door–they always manage to keep it moving quickly.
The service was OK but not great. They messed up our order. To make it right, they decided to give it us some macaroons. The only problem was there was three of us there and they only gave us two macaroons. Why not give us three? One for each of us.
The chef was very accommodating.
Pros: really nice place with a great vibe and great service. There was a long line but it moved quick. The pastry products looked really inviting and savory. They have a wide variety of products with good prices.
Cons: I ordered a small iced matcha latte with oat milk and sugar free vanilla. I paid something closed to $9 and I didn’t enjoy the drink at all. It was really sweet (too much syrup) I don’t know if it had sugar but it felt it that way. Even Starbucks offers matcha drinks with a better grade matcha. I was expecting something with a better quality.
I’ve had coffee and refreshing drinks and they were all good. But this first time trying their match was very unpleasant
I can’t wait to come again and try other things on the menu. Downloaded the app for rewards and already have a free macaron lined up. So happy to have a Common Bond nearby. Hopefully they open one in The Woodlands too!
I had the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, a biscuit, hash brown square, and jam. The eggs were creamy and cheesy with a nice veggie mix, and the bacon was perfectly crisp. The hash brown was surprisingly unique crispy outside and soft inside, almost like a savory bread pudding. The biscuit paired wonderfully with the sweet berry jam.
I also tried the deviled eggs topped with pork belly, and WOW, easily one of my favorite bites. Rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The pork belly was tender and seared just right, giving a savory punch to the smooth deviled filling.
For dessert, the berries & cream croissant was light and refreshing. Flaky croissant loaded with fresh berries and whipped cream. Perfect for sharing or treating yourself!
Everything was plated beautifully and served fresh. Great service, lovely vibe, and definitely a go-to brunch spot in town. Highly recommend!
