Went a few months ago and got the royal blizzards, all 4 had no chocolate/strawberry cores. That was very disappointing and we hadnt been back since. Saw the new mint blizzard with hard shell dip advertised and that got me to order from DQ again.
They forgot the cup of hard shell and seemed annoyed when I asked for it. Then put it in a tiny condiment cup (not at all like what is pictured on the website) impossible to open and dip without making a mess. I tried to ask for the cup and just got a hard time from the manager. My son got the royal cheesecake blizzard and AGAIN, no strawberry core. Very disappointed in Mt Vernon DQ.

You can’t beat a good Blizzard. I like to bring the kids to a DQ once every other week. This place was clean, all the employees were nice and the orders came out right. We always go in to sit down and enjoy our cool treats. We will be back to this place and maybe even try some hot eats. I’m curious on how their onion rings are.

Ordered the crispy onion burger….bun not toasted… enough ketchup for a large fry on it. There were 3 crispy onions on it that were so soggy… ordered 4 blizzard’s all different first one turned up side down the other 3 could not be as they were melting super fast …was like a milkshake with chunks in it… Was there on a Thursday 2/5/26 at 3 30. Note was a drive thru order that we ate in the parking lot.

What a beautiful store & the food is very good! Like to come here when in the area.
People need to realize, that food (as well as other) businesses start to clean their equipment & the store prior to the closing times, especially if it’s a slow night(s) & haven’t had any customers in awhile. Places can’t just shut everything down & go home, when the clock sticks closing time. They sometime have hours of cleaning equipment, dishes, tables, bathrooms & floors before they can clock out & leave.
Also, it’s NOT prior 1990, when people had a work ethic. Where they knew how & wanted to work for a living!! When, you deal with people that just want money & doesn’t want to work (just to text, talk, play games, etc. on their cell phones) to earn it. You are going to have issues, no matter what type of business you go to!!

My visit to Dairy Queen Mount Vernon was outrageous. First of all, the brunette girl with glasses who served us was very rude and unpleasant to talk to. She only served us attitude because my blizzards didn’t even come out right. I inferred how I had a nut allergy yet my M&M blizzard was a peanut wonderland. It wasn’t just just one bite but multiple. I expect a full refund.

Apparently when you sit out of patio with your dog, you get forgotten about and receive the worse service. Actually insane. First off they literally only have water, lemonade and sweet tea. When I ordered my food, I was waiting at the counter and they were telling people they’d bring it out to them. I went to sit outside and after a long while I went to check on the food and another employee was in process of taking it outside for me but forgot my sundae. They said they would be bringing it out. 15-20 minutes later and they still didn’t bring it out and had to go ask the same guy who told me he would and had such an attitude about it. This place is the worse and I’m glad I do not live close to here but poor first experience

It was a quick stop for desert. Husband ordered a chocolate shake, it was unfortunately runny like water. My Peanut Butter Sunday, grossly salty. Second try, shake was so thick now he needed a spoon. Staff member seemed confused, he couldn’t grasp “runny” shake or now I need a spoon. Spending time at the drive thru to explain to a staff member how a shake should be thick, but drinkable from a straw was aggravating. After a year, we tried it again. Food size not worth our hard earned $$$$. Sandwich was adult price, and child size portion. It’s a triple!! Couldn’t get anyone to get us a to go box. Had to serve ourselves. Employee popped a straw in his drink, looked at us then went to the back. Never will we visit again.

My wife and I went in for lunch. I ordered a double cheeseburger, chicken strips and Popcorn Shrimp. After waiting 15 to 20 minutes they still had not brought our order to our table. So, I went to check on our order. The cashier said, “oh…we don’t make popcorn shrimp any more, what would you like to order instead?” I said, I already ordered and paid for my order”. He said, “oh…we don’t make that anymore, would you like something else?” I said, “no, just give me a refund.” Someone that i assume was the manager came over (I think to find out what the issue was), said something but I wasn’t sure what. So, I asked “how long was I going to have to sit and wait before someone came and told me that you no longer make what I have already paid for?” The manager then said, “jcdjdi, nsoiewi. hsdty, temncx, heo lkmlewdmjd, ddpookewdd, ksndyu.” At least that’s what it sounded like was said. The cashier, then got someone to show him how to run the register so he could refund me for the food I ordered that they no longer make. Despite all this, I do have to say that the pictures they have on their menu are really nice pictures.

PS: After reading all the “one star and 2 star reviews, and the generic responses to the UNHAPPY customers, I’m anxious to see the written response to my review. If you are actually reading and addressing these issues, please explain how you plan to correct the problems, other than continuing to apologize.

Nothing wrong with the food, but service in the drive through was poor. Sent my boyfriend to get our online order and he was given a frozen hot chocolate in a bag(first red flag), while his drink was given to him in his hand. Well, it turns out there was a crack going half way up the cup. It got all over the bag, food, and his car seat. I also lost about half of the drink. I tried to call to see if we could fix this somehow and no one answered.
Overall, I will still be eating here, but I will be plagued with the memories and trauma of frozen hot chocolate everywhere.

Ordered 3 large blizzards at the drive thru yesterday. 2 of the blizzards (reese cup and turtle cluster) you could not tell apart because you could not see toppings, and they were not marked. They were just over quarter way eaten before really getting to topping flavor as they were mixed poorly. The third blizzard was mixed correctly. At that price, excepted to taste the flavor, not just vanilla ice cream.
