Today our family discovered a wonderful new place — La Casita Cocina Mexicana & Cantina.
We really enjoyed the steak tacos — the meat was incredibly flavorful and juicy, and the side of beans and rice made the dish even better. Just one taco was enough to feel completely satisfied.
I also loved the seasonal margarita — refreshing, well-balanced, and generously sized.
The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I ordered a Caesar salad and what I received was nowhere close to a Caesar salad. Instead, I got a wilted lettuce mix topped with tortilla strips, cotija cheese, and a sugary thousand-island–type dressing that I specifically avoid. I don’t eat sugar, and this completely ruined my meal.
I paid a premium through Uber Eats and expected the restaurant to at least send the correct item. When I called, the staff acted confused and offered no solution or accountability.
This is unacceptable for the price and the reputation they claim to have. At minimum, I expect the manager to review this order, address the quality control issues, and make this right.

I’ve been disappointed the past two times we’ve ordered from La Casita. The food is outrageously expensive. We ordered to-go; got 2 quesadillas and cheese dip and it was almost $70. Then, the quesadillas didn’t come with anything (guac, sour cream, lettuce) and the jalapeño dip was barely half full. Very over priced and poor quality.

Veggie burrito tasted terrible and completely disappointed! Chips had vegetable oil smell and could taste the oil. My fork was bent and food had too much oil. Never coming back here again.

As far a food I feel like it was decent Def more of that regional flavor and what typically people expect from a Mexican restaurant. Some American infusion to it. Salsa not really spicy. I am not a fan of smoky Chipotle so the salsa that came with the steak tacos was a no go. But if you enjoy nice cheesy dishes with beans and rice they Def have that and in very generous portions. I will probably try something other than steak tacos if I go again. My kids loved it and ate well. One ordered steak tacos as well and the other a kids meal. Our friend ordered a mixed plate. It hasa nice vibe through and good for families. Like all places costs are going up but a great local place to try if you are in thr area.

I used to come here a lot. I think there’s a new owner and the food quality have really dropped, while prices have jumped. Let me get this out of the way first, the Salsa the past few times I have been has been tasteless. Basically, it’s been watery tomato sauce. Fix it. Second, the new waiter I encountered on Nov 16th in the evening bar area, rude. Jose and Martin used to be over that side, get them back. I ordered Steak and Shrimp Fajitas, really bad. The steak was overcooked and the prawns not much flavor. I didn’t even finish it or take the leftovers. I used to be able to come here, get pollo asada and have a good meal. Even that now, they are doing some weird marinade that is horrid, or at least the execution is horrid.

We are new Washington from NM and this was the first place we tried for some Birria Tacos and they were exactly like the tacos from our favorite spot back home. Absolutely delicious every time we have ordered takeout or in the restaurant. The atmosphere is great and service is even better!

Food is not that great, drinks are weak and service is just downright rude and awful. They messed up one of our drinks and food request and acted annoyed when we told them. Maybe should write things down.
Very short and curt. Would just drop items off and tried to avoid any and all contact. The general vibe I got was that they hated us for being there, especially witnessing how they were really nice to the booth in front and behind us.
Food was very salty and overpriced. Seemed like it should be authentic like grandma’s cooking, but it lacked the love and passion. Can’t recommend this place in any aspect.

I love getting tacos and a XX beer here. The food is amazing. The decor is humble and themed but I don’t go to Mexican restaurants for the decorations. The food is excellent and never disappoints. Easily my favorite comfort food in Issaquah.
