It wasn’t the best I have tasted but the food was tasty, satisfying and filling. I ordered the Jjampong soup and my partner had the shrimp fried rice. Portions were huge and we both had enough left for dinner later.
We chose a time during early afternoon when there was less of a crowd. The service was efficient, courteous and prompt. The prices are a bit high but no higher than I have seen at a restaurant of this nature.
All in all, my family and extended family loved this place. We got a variety of meals, appetizers, sampled the sides, we were given extra since we were a party of 5. It was all lovely, Jin was lovely. We are definitely coming back here in the future and I’d recommend anyone who is unfamiliar with Korean food to ask questions or look things up to help them order exactly what they are looking for.
Thank you for your lovely hospitality Jin. I’m glad our first experience was such a lovely and enjoyable one.
I came here after reading all the great reviews, excited to introduce my mom and stepdad to their first Korean BBQ experience. Unfortunately, we all left a bit disappointed.
Starting with the positives: the spicy noodle soup (Jjampong) was fantastic — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. They also loved all three kimchi sides. The marinated beef ribs (Galbi) were another highlight, full of flavor and cooked beautifully.
But beyond that, things went downhill. The pork belly was mostly fat and didn’t have much flavor, and the portion sizes overall felt pretty small for the prices. The glass noodles with vegetables (Japchae) were the biggest letdown — $18 for a plate of hot noodles with wilted cabbage, a few onion slices, and some tiny carrot pieces? That’s not an assortment of vegetables; that’s filler.
Our server was friendly and cheerful, but for someone who said they’d been there a long time, it was surprising that they didn’t know how to render the grill properly with fat or explain a few of the dishes in English. It made the experience feel a little awkward for my first-timers.
Nothing was terrible, just very average. Between the prices, the small portions, and the uneven quality, I don’t see us coming back.
We will try to come here every week. Even though most tables were filled and they were quite busy our wait to be seated was less than a minute and service was fast and efficient. The owner lady was very hands on and manages everything to make sure it runs smooth.
We had BBQ spicy pork, bi bim bup and sundubu soup.
Glad we found it. Hard to find many authentic ethic restaurants around here outside of Mexican and the off Filipino or German place.
The price is outrages and way too expensive compare to many Korean restaurants i’ve been to in big cities. The quality of the food was mediocre for the price they were asking for… Also the smell of the room seemed off … maybe due to the smoke? I noticed they dont have huge vents for the smoke if you are cooking with the burner on the table…. maybe will be a fire hazard?
Whats worse is i think they gave us spoiled meat…. my partner got food poisoning from the pork and chicken fried rice. My partner normally has a stomach of steel and I was surprised how sick they got. I smelled the food and it had a rotten sulfur smell so i tossed it in the garbage… I didn’t eat any of the pork or fried rice because they are not my favorite dishes.. Unfortunately we will not be going again…
