Found this gem of a restaurant a few years ago and have been a regular ever since. Went for breakfast once but the “regulars” were overly political so the atmosphere was poor. (Why I took away 1 star) However, my wife and I go in for dinner and I get the prime rib and she gets the shrimp dinner. Everytime its perfectly done and delicious!

Enjoyed the ribeye steak with fries and a salad. So delicious and the service was very speedy. Wasn’t packed at all around 6:15 p.m. on a Saturday. Also, I’m not a fan of mushrooms but whatever they had with the steak was phenomenal. Would recommend!

Barre Diner is under new management. For the past 10 years, the absolute sweetest, kindest, gentlest woman I’ve ever known has come to Barre Diner once per month for a game of Bridge and some lunch with her friends. There are eight ladies who occupy two tables for 90 minutes during one weekday morning per month for a social gathering and a nice meal out. At no point has their cherished little tradition been disruptive or prevented others from being seated, as there are always open tables during the early hours they’re there. They enjoy food and drink and have always tipped generously. In spite of this, new management has apparently decided they’re no longer willing to accommodate these darling women. Unsurprisingly, the ladies have already been welcomed by other local eateries eager to host such a lovely group, but I thought it was worth noting that Barre Diner is no longer a safe or friendly place for our elders. For shame.

I do not recommend the corned beef hash. It was the worse I have ever had. It was burnt and tasted like they scrapped the bottom of the skillet were it has been sitting for a week.

Went with a group some had lunch, I had breakfast. My biscuits & gravy was excellent! The burgers that some got for lunch were huge!! Definitely enough for 2. Will definitely be back.

It was packed and so loud you could barely here yourself think it took 10 minutes to get to a table 30 minutes for anyone to take order then sat for another 40-50minutes before we got our food. While I felt it was basic my husband got the loaded hashbrowns and imsaid it was amazing. Not worth the hype in my opinion.

I never give a 5 star review have been here probably 20 times, never been disappointed, staff always friendly, service is always great, venue is amazing, yes they can be crowded but what do you expect with a great restaurant, new owner has put in slot machines and made some updates, I usualy get the berries, brown which I have a hard time trying something different, it’s always great and is enough for me to get 2 meals
