I used to come here routinely so I thought I would give it a shot even though it usually is a little pricey. My current experience here is not a good one, get myself and my companions had one appetizer between us and we kept it simple with three sandwiches two with fries and one with onion rings since we were out boating and just stopped dealing for a fight on our way to an event. Three sandwiches with sides 1 appetizer four draft beers in a 10 oz cup and 1 iced tea was just a bit over $100. The food was not as tasty as your average fast food restaurant. Service was absolutely terrible. It was not the fault of our waitress as she was overwhelmed and overworked due to the fact they did not have nearly enough staff especially for this time of year on a Saturday. Our waitress was hustling 100% of the time get everyone was going without. The atmosphere within the dining and the bar area was as drive as a hole in the wall. This place has evolved backwards very quickly from what it once was. I can’t recommend the food except for the french fries and if you go here at all definitely plan on spending more then what is justified by any reasonable assessment. If you die in the exterior patio area you will at least have a beautiful waterfront view. That is the only positive thing that I can say about this business currently I have no desired to return here even for a single beer or cocktail. Let’s hope it is up for some dramatic change in the near future.

Always a good experience there. Nice people and good service. The salads are the best. It taste like a vinegar based is made with it. Trust. It’s delicious. Get there garden salad every time. It has cauliflower in it. Yummy

So I loved Vera’s. I felt bad though because I couldn’t give it a thorough review. One, because during Covid, everything feels so watered down. They didn’t have their full menu available and I’m sure if they did, the experience would’ve been better. But as far as service, our food actress was also our bartender and the drinks were really good. (I really only get margarita’s so…go figure ♀️ )…Two, we got full off of appetizers so we didn’t order dinner. (Sorry, I forgot to take a quick pic of the wings)…but I’m not worried because I definitely plan to go back when the weather gets warm again. This place has some beautiful scenery and I want to spend a couple hours eating, drinking and hanging out taking pics this summer! (3 stars on the dining but they get an extra star simply because of the ambiance and the fact that they have palm trees in good ole MD!

First and foremost, thank you to Steve, Lisa & the host. If you want to visit an establishment that treats you like family. This is the place to go. I had a large celebration for a wind sister that was relocating. When I say Vera’s crew helped in every way possible to make this event special, and to ensure all my guests were happy. They went 110% in. Yee, I recommend Vera’s for any occasion.

I really loved our waitress. She was attentive and nice, especially so close to the end of her shift. The food was well executed and delicious but nothing special. The view was great on the outside patio.
I am a little sad that their menu online had happy hour and the hosta said they didn’t. I would totally go back for the great service.

Vera’s is a gem on the water – the perfect spot whether you’re planning to host an event, catch a game with friends or enjoy a relaxing Sunday brunch with family. The atmosphere was just the right balance between lively and laid-back. Vera’s has great service, tasty meals and an unbeatable view.

Had a great time at Vera’s during happy hour and live music. Went on a Saturday for their 50¢ oysters which was a great deal and they tasted wonderful. The service was great and I loved the grapefruit crush. The views alone are worth going here.

Food was good. Sat at the bar. I was alone so I sat at the bar. The bartendress didn’t seem too interested is what I wanted she was too busy stuffing her mouth. Someone else was behind the bar and took my order for her. She never mentioned the specials, which I chose from…the softshell with fries. I was so full I never touched the salad. I took it to go and something happened to it from sitting with the dressing on it and just ruined it. Not their fault. I should have asked for the dressing on the side but it did look good when it came out. All and all a nice place. I’d have given five stars if the girl behind the bar had acted like she was there to help me enjoy a meal. I was more of an inconvenient issue keeping her from eating and talking. I still tipped 20% because I’m a nice guy.

Not sure why this place get such terrible reviews. We’ve been here twice since the new management took over and both times the food has been good and of course the views delightful. Best of all, since people are still not coming here, there’s always a table available with no wait on the lovely outdoor deck with a sunset view. I’d really like this place to survive but also don’t want it to be discovered if that makes sense. Oysters on the half shell were plump delicious and the fish and chips and fish tacos were good. It’s not super gourmet but none of the restaurants in Solomons are either. The point of coming here is to enjoy the lovely view on a beautiful day and this completely fits the bill. Also, the orange crushes made with fresh squeezed OJ are still great. Still greatly miss the old tiki bar vibe with the bands and partying in the summer, but this more low-key version of Vera’s is still solid and very pleasant. Service by Rachel was also excellent and prompt.

Had the best fries topped with crab dip I’ve ever had. Went in the off season for lunch so not much going on but the layout with the marina looked like it would be a great place to hangout for a day. Waitress was very nice and talkative. We would return for sure.
