I walked in here for the first time and ordered two gyros. I saw the menu online so I knew what I wanted. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak and the mixed gyro.
Joey and his wife, along with the cashier were all welcoming and pleasant. They even took their time to answer my unrelated questions and recommended restaurants to try.
The food was clean and delicious. Made to order by Joey himself.
Parking wasn’t an issue because there as ample street parking.
There are drink options as well as seating if you want to have a quick bite.

I had the lamb gyro. My husband had the chicken. Both were absolutely delicious. Super flavorful. Very generous portions. Service was awesome. Will definitely be returning! Thank you for a delicious lunch and for being so kind! 100% recommend!

I’m from NYC now I live here in Waterbury. At first, I was hesitant to visit because didn’t want to be disappointed so I told my wife to get it for me, and after that, I had it back to back, lol. The food season is well, and the meat to rice ratio is perfect. You will get a piece of beef Just about every bite. They have an excellent white sauce, and then the bbq is official sweet and tangy, perfect with the white sauce. My wife had gotten they hot sauce, and she said it was good; not too hot, but it had a pleasant pepper taste.
Also, the fries are good, and they give you a lot.

I just went there for my first time and had a lamb gyros. Excellent food and very friendly! Portion was very large and lamb was flavored very nicely. Prices excellent. $8 + tax. They also had cheesecake from NYC. Creamy, moist, fabulous. I’m definitely going back. The lamb was so tasty, I want to try it over rice!

Best Gyro I’ve ever had in my life! It tasted so fresh and juicy, it was honestly delicious. The prices are very fair considering what other people are charging, will definitely be going again! The owner is a very personable person too.

Delicious! We got the chicken gyro, a chicken and a lamb over rice, and some wings. I grew up on the Halal Guys on 53rd and 6th way back when it was like five, six bucks for a combo platter, so seeing this restaurant really made me happy. I was excited to try this out.
I ordered the wings for my dad, who did like them even though they weren’t exactly Buffalo wings. They were cooked perfectly with maybe a spicy rub. Outside was crispy and inside was tender and juicy. Would have been satisfied even if we got just the wings.
The gyro that my partner had was delicious. Enough sauce and vegetables and meat to make it somewhat messy to eat, but I’ve never eaten a gyro without getting some all over the place. She said she didn’t want too much, but ended up finishing the whole thing.
The rice platters looked just like the platters that the Halal carts would sell in NY. It would have been perfect if I had some pita on the side, but I’ll order that next time. The white sauce was good and the hot sauce was spicy. I’m ordering extra of both sauces on the side next time… I love my platters drowning in red sauce. We forgot to take a picture of the food but we will next time, as there definitely will be a next time.
Overall, a great experience. Can’t state enough how happy we are that it is so close to where we live. We will return.
