My friends and I were sitting in a booth and suddenly the booth collapsed from under us. We fell and it crushed the back of my friends leg. Her leg was stuck under the broken booth and she screamed in pain. It was so loud when the booth broke that everyone in the bar took notice, including staff. Not a SINGLE staff member checked in to see if any of us were okay. We were not offered any compensation or assistance. We know they noticed because a minute after we walked away from the booth they taped an “out of order” sign to the booth. A few minutes passed by I let the bartender know that I was shocked nobody checked in or offered us any assistance or compensation for what happened. I let them know that my friends leg was hurt and she was limping because of the pain. We were told to just go to the emergency room if there was a problem. This is some of the worst staff I’ve ever experienced. I cannot believe that an establishment would have such terrible manners and customer service. I’ve included pictures of the broken booth, the sign they hung up… as well as, a picture of my friends injured leg. Such a disgrace of an establishment. ALSO, to make matters worse, the staff gave US dirty looks and were whispering about US. The insanity. Also, the bartenders seem to not like to serve women. There was one guy in our group, and he was the ONLY one given decent service. The women in our group were ignored and given dirty looks.. Even though, we did nothing EXCEPT get hurt by this establishment!!!

Was up to visit the baseball HOF and stopped to check out this place for lunch. It was a nice old school place inside and out. The waitress was very helpful and good. Got a burger and the cowboy fritters and both tasted very good. The only downside I had was it seemed like the place was very dirty. I was sitting at the bar and there was fruit flies everywhere and just landing/sitting on the cups and in your way while eating your food. Was nice to try it but won’t be back.

When you first approach from the outside this place seems a bit like it was closed as you approach. Once inside it’s not a huge place but has that very old bar feeling to it. Our table was very wobbly so we grabbed bar seats. Drinks were made and as we were sitting there we noticed a ton of fruit flys which isn’t a good thing. But the food we ordered looked good. I ordered my burger well done and got cowboy fritters. The fritters were outstanding! The French fries I got with my burger were excellent as well. The burger was good up until I noticed that it wasn’t fully cooked I noticed a little pink inside. Which is fine for some. But a huge turn off on the food for me. Overall I’d give it a 4/5 stars the atmosphere was ok. For how old the place is I get the historical aspect of it.

Just around the corner from the Baseball Hall Of Fame. Not too amenable for large parties. Decent beer selection, and the four apps we shared were pretty good. The server we asked for a table told us there was no room for us, so we pulled six bar chairs around a high table and were eventually served. Not bad.

There’s a sign outside that said the building was from the 1800s and I believe it! There’s plenty of historical ambience to this place and we enjoyed it. The table we chose was in a corner and slightly tilted but it was still comfortable and cozy. The food was certainly pub grub but of very high quality. The house sauce (for the wings) is kind of a chipotle BBQ sauce and I recommend it. The onion rings, sweet potato fries, and pretzel were all excellent. Two of us had a burger and we both loved them. The service was also perfect; Erin was a true professional and treated us well. The fact that I had an IPA from the local brewery (Ommegang) made the meal even better! We were in town for the Hall of Fame and am so glad we stopped in at Cooley’s!

Had the French Dip and a Chicken Caesar Salad. It was absolutely delicious! Every local football game on for Sunday at 1:00. Service was super fast and wonderfully friendly. Will absolutely be back.

I’ve been to dinner there twice with 7 other people, lunch once with 5 others. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. It is a bar but has dining space for a family to enjoy and watch TV. They had the winter Olympics on when I was there.

What an experience! I visited Cooperstown this weekend for the first time and was delighted by the food and service I had at Cooley’s. I normally don’t write reviews but I had to share the great experience I had there. Definitely the best food spot in town! Erin was our server and I was blown away by how extremely kind and attentive she was to my family and me. We got our food quickly and our drinks were delicious. We had the wings, mac and cheese bites, salad, and everything couldn’t have been better. As a vegetarian I was thrilled to see a veggie burger on the menu. Cooley’s is also very clean and suitable for families and large groups. Overall, my family and I will be recommending Cooley’s to anyone in Cooperstown. I’d love to visit again just to go back here!

A great little local bar. They have a nice selection of draft beer. They make their own corned beef used in their Reuben sandwich. The menu consists of traditional bar food and their prices are reasonable. Whenever we are in the Cooperstown area and want a quick bite for a reasonable price, this is our choice.
