Chef’s Table – Exceptional American Dining in Melbourne, FL
Reviews
Each course was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection, full of rich flavor and balance. The attention to detail, from the trio of spreads and freshly baked bread to the soups and entrées, felt thoughtful and refined. You can tell the chefs take real pride in every plate they send out.
Our server Mark was wonderful — attentive, kind, and professional, adding to an already flawless evening.
Yes, it comes with a pretty penny, but for a special event, an anniversary, or a date night meant to impress, The Chef’s Table is absolutely worth it. It’s a dining experience — not just a meal — and one I’ll remember for a long time.
We had an excellent breakdown of all the specials for the evening by Mark (and apologies if I misheard your name) and once our orders were taken, they worked quickly and efficiently getting the food to us.
From start to finish, everything was delicious and meticulously presented. The couple seated nearby ordered a carrot cake that looked absolutely amazing, but I was stuffed already, so that will have to be a future visit to try…
I began with a Ginger Smash, a copper mug full of icy citrus and ginger that was well done and welcome. Even the iced tea was strong and clear-tasting and really enhanced all the seafood tastes.
And speaking of seafood – Lobster Bisque (pictured) was delicious – sweeter than expected, and huge portions. The shrimp cocktail arrived moments later and competed for my attention with massive shrimp on a plate of cocktail sauce that surprisingly went subtle instead of bold. But you know what, great combo. Leaves you saying “I wouldn’t be mad if this was the entree”.
But then, of course I would be missing out on the actual entree – evening special Halibut plate (pictured). Yes, it is every bit as good as it looks, with a bed of peas, carrots, and mushrooms complimenting a truly superb cut if fish, browned just right, but still tender throughout.
A great experience all evening long. All hits, no misses. I would recommend this for your “special occasion” destination.
This place is great for special day or just to make any day special.
The food has always been so good and the service impeccable.
Remember to call ahead and get yourself on the list. If you cannot get in, they also have a wonderful Italian restaurant next door called Amici’s.
The Food however wasn’t on par with what I expected from this place.
Delmonico Ribeye was seasoned well and had a good flavor, ordered it medium/rare it came medium/well almost well. The lobster bisque had no lobster in it at all (honestly It tasted exactly like Publix lobster bisque). The Parmesan truffle fries should be called wedges, they came out undercooked, I couldn’t stick my fork all the way through the potatoes. Got the brussel sprouts and they were undercooked as well, had to send both sides back to the kitchen.
We also got an order of lobster Mac & cheese, this was actually pretty tasty and perfectly cooked, I would recommend this side dish.
Overall, what I expected vs what I got didn’t match up, if I wanted an overcooked steak and undercooked sides I could have made dinner at home.
I would recommend going to Gregories, Flavour kitchen, or even Texas Roadhouse.
Nice wine selection that has some great bottles but isn’t overpriced.
