Gabriela’s menu nods to the complexities of our culture’s rich (and truthfully complicated) history, aptly named after the female leader of the Ilocano independence movement from Spain.
Led by bravery and pride in her native land, Gabriela Silang was a military leader in the 1760’s who fought to her death to end Spanish colonization in the Ilocos region of the Philippines. Often called the Joan of Arc of Ilocandia, Gabriela Silang was a revolutionary and an inspiration not only for her time, but for our work today.

Always bomb!! Went after they redid their menu. We ordered their rice bowl, burrito, they had a special soup for the week that was so delicious as well! Of course, we grabbed a few pastries.
Everything was delicious as always. I’m still a huge fan of their pork belly, the crispy skin was amazing in the rice bowl! Don’t forget to grab it dirty soda 🙂

I really wanted to like this more than I did! Some bites were good, some were lacking in flavor. The whole bowl was quite oily, not sure which component was to blame for that. Possibly worst of all, the rice had dry, crusty bits that I couldn’t even chew. I love the concept though

I was so excited to enter the food hall and eat from my favorite restaurant until I saw how Americanized the menu was. The adbo chicken, garlic rice and corn and potatoes were off the menu. It’s Ike chipotle it is not authentic anymore nothing sets the restaurant apart. I have been a consistent customer for over a year and I would order 2x a month to treat myself and now I will sadly not be back due to the menu changes. The service was great very kind young man tonight but the food was average, rice was hard and not flavorful.

Drove from Dayton looking for filipino food. I ordered the chicken Inasal rice bowl. Overpriced and small portions. Here’s a pic, this is nothing like chicken Inasal from our culture but sweeten rice and diced honey chicken. As somebody born from the philippines, there is very little about this place that resembles filipino cuisine. The menu has completely changed and this place should re-label themselves as an asian fusion stand. If you want real filipino food, go some place else.

It’s great to find an Asian restaurant which offers delicious, gluten free options (they use gluten free soy sauce!). I particularly love the tofu which I dipped in the sawsawan (dipping sauce) available at the counter; it was so good, I had to order an extra serving of tofu after I finished my initial meal.
With Gabriela’s delicious food and friendly, helpful service, I will definitely be back.

The young girl at the counter was the only worker at The Gatherall that interacted with us, and that made the sale, and am I glad she did. The food was delicious, we had the kale salad and the kale was wilted perfect, I had the chicken, rice, and street corn. The young girl recommended the potato “thing” and I do not remember what it was called but DAMN was it good. What a nice change to try something different and it be fantastic. Thank you for introducing us to something new.

Ordered the pork belly on door dash and it’s hard as a rock /: the crispy skin pieces were good but it the rest should be juicy and tender but it’s not. seems like they took all the nasty pieces that have been sitting out too long and stuck them in my to go order. Maybe it is better when you dine in but don’t order the pork belly on door dash. Kale salad was decent

Unfortunately, they didn’t have roasted chicken for us to try during our visit. But my husband and I shared the Bistek with Arroz Valenciana and Mais then an order of beef and lamb empanada. They were flavorful and delicious. We both loved them.

Food was delicious, servings were ample. Enjoyed our meals. We expected a more traditional Filipino dining experience. I would say food was almost a Filipino/Mexican/American fusion. Again, very delicious, just not what we expected. Casual dining experience in old factory space. Plenty of seating. Great lunch spot.

We have the Bistek with garlic rice and corn as side dish. The flavor was too SALTY; like it’s been warmed up too many times. The garlic rice was HARD. The mussels were tasteless and rubbery.
The service took 15 minutes for non busy time/day. There were 3 workers (normal).

First of all, this is not an authentic Filipino food. It’s asian fusion place. Their chicken adobo is good; closer taste; again, not authentic. The steak tapa is also good, but little bit on the drier side. The garlic rice was good too, plus added the corn side dish. Also tried the malasadas. This is better if it’s warmed up.
