The bread is divine – soft, chewy, with the perfect exterior and fresh flavor. And I LOVE the mac salad. I get it every time and keep a tub in the fridge to snack on throughout the week.
The prices are great. For the amount of sandwich filler you get (these babies are fully loaded), the freshness of the bread and the quality of the sandwich, it’s high quality at affordable prices. LOVE THIS PLACE!
When I arrived, that’s when I realized this is not your typical on-site dining fast-casual restaurant. It’s basically a ghost kitchen (or cloud kitchen). You order online. When you arrive, you check-in on an iPad that’s on a table next to an indoor coffee merchant (Ardent Coffee). Eventually someone emerges from the back of the building with your sammiches.
The sammiches themselves were good. I ordered a Chopped Cheese and a Chopped Italian. Total was $18.69 for both, before tip (I did tip on this order, but not sure why). Both sammiches were very “wet” on the inside, so bring a lot of napkins with you. The Chopped Italian was my favorite…a cold sammich that was literally bursting with flavor, and mayonnaise.
The Chopped Cheese was okay. Basically a burger and lots of cheese inside a hoagie roll. When I got home and tried it, it had cooled quite a bit and I think the quality goes down when it cools. You’ll need to reheat and grab a fork & knife or risk licking your fingers every five seconds.
The coffee guy in the “lobby” was nice and we had a good conversation before I realized I still needed to check-in to get my sammiches. I even ordered an Iced Latte while I was waiting.
I would definitively like to try the other sammiches next time I’m in the area.
I mean, what else could you possibly ask for??
So far the Mark-E-Mark is my favorite but, I’m just now starting to work my way down the menu so, that is subject to change Haha!
What a great addition for places to eat in the area that is unique, flavorful and a must try!
My sandwich was great, tasted great and was loaded, without overloading on the thousand island sauce.
I will definitely come here again.
There is also a new coffee shop at the same location, actually at the front where you pick up the sandwiches. He’s using coffee beans from a local roaster, makes his own syrups for the flavored coffee, just all-around good ingredients.
I recommend this place for your coffee fix, great indy coffee shop.
The Lucky Luciano was delicious with the sandwich packed out with all the goodness.
The LT combined some of my faves, burger meat, chicken chunks, bacon, all well seasoned. This was also packed out like sandwiches ought to be.
The bread is really soft yet has that firm texture that makes for a great bite each time.
Overall, these are some of the best sandwiches available.
Will order again soon!!
