Food was great! Giant scoop of fried rice with 5 thick chicken wings and sauteed veggies. It’s all very flavorful and comes with 2 sauce cups – one earthy smokey and the other spicy gingery. About $18 per entree, dinner sized, could easily get 2 meals out of it. Interior is dank and shabby, but service is friendly and feels family-run.

accountable review you can post:

I gave this place multiple chances and tried to be understanding, but every experience was unprofessional. Orders are consistently wrong, items are often out of stock, and substitutions are made without asking or notifying you until pickup. Staff are rude both in person and over the phone. On one visit, I was even mocked for how I pronounced a dish, despite of being so close . That was the final straw. I will not return. This restaurant seriously needs customer service training.

It was a wonderful experience eating here. They spoke multiple languages and were able to help all of us. I read a review about the ginger juice being strong and it’s very true. It’s great! Great service and delicious food!

We were absolutely blown away by this new hidden gem!

They’re clearly just getting off the ground, so they haven’t found their feet with service fully. The owner was running everything and while it didn’t impact our experience, i hope they can get just one server soon to make things a little smoother. That being said, they’re obviously putting their money to the quality of their food, and it shows.

Our meal started with ginger and pineapple juice. The ginger juice was bold and in-your-face with that wonderful ginger heat. I’m a big ginger fan and it really delivered.

They were out of our first choice of appetizers so we went with what was labeled a salad. What we got was essentially a potato salad. A good potato salad, but it felt strange to have as an appetizer, and I’m not sure i could recommend it for the price

The Jollof Rice was astounding. We got it with goat, which was cooked to absolute perfection. The rice itself was well flavored and the garnishes really added to the dish. i would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to do their toe into an unfamiliar cuisine.

The Kom was also wonderful, and the fish was cooked perfectly and not overpowering at all. It was served with a delicious sauce, and the owner suggested eating it with my hands. She provided a bowl to wash my hands in before and after, and i have to say that it added to the meal. this is also a big recommend from me.

With fresh ingredients, and a well deserved pride in the food they serve, we will certainly be going back, and look forward to trying everything on the menu.

The man taking my order was friendly and helpful I got the Egusi stew with goat and fufu and asked for it to be spicy they gave me a little container of spicy something which was plenty the meal was hot flavorful and delicious. There plenty for me to have 2 meals out of it. I will definitely be back to try some more new foods.

Unusual fare for the Quad Cities. Every main dish that I’ve ordered are quite spicy. The fufu was unique & is a good accompaniment to the spicy main dishes. It’s primarily carry out, the dining room is the worn out Made Rite.

Goat was too dry and tough to eat. Service was slow. 20$ for a few small pieces of goat and a scoop of rice is too expensive

Food was good but the service is bad. I have ordered from here regularly but after the last bad ordeal, they’ve lost a regular. Don’t support people who don’t respect the people who keep them open.
