This place was absolutely amazing. The food was fantastic. The staff was so friendly. The atmosphere was cool,very opened, i loved the painted chicken wall. Food was fresh, hot and the level of spicy was beautiful to both our liking. We loved the messy fries, we devoured our sandwiches they were breaded perfectly. That coleslaw was scrumptious. Overall you must try.

I would say this is best fried chicken after Korean for me.The coleslaw was watery and one of the house sauces too spicy. The whipped spicy home honey butter was too heavy.I would make it a complete meal by replacing the bread slice with a waffle as dessert to be smudged with a honey fluff.

We came in to try some chicken for the first time ever, never been here, and it did not disappoint! There were six of us and some tried the sandwich and everybody else got the chicken strips. When we walked in the employee was really polite, helpful, and patient since we told him it was our first time there. We noticed that there was nobody else in the restaurant and I said “where is everybody”? He said “oh the dinner rush hasn’t started yet” and laughed. I said “great, perfect timing for us then”! We placed our order, got our drinks, and picked the best seat in the house. Shortly after he brought all of our meals out.
We were surprised at how big the chicken strips were they were huge! Honestly, the chicken was so good and so fresh and it had the perfect amount of heat! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the fries were fantastic also! As we were finishing up more people started coming in, I was glad we beat the rush.
The seating, lights, and ambiance were great! The only reason I gave the atmosphere four stars is because it felt like it was 55 degrees in there. We were all freezing and had to run out to the car to get our hoodies. .. cozy but freezing.
Everything else was great tho and we will be returning next time were in town.

The spicy butter sandwich was phenomenal! If you’re not a fan of greasy sandwiches or heavy butter, this one might not be for you. But as an occasional indulgence, it’s absolutely delicious. The Nashville hot wasn’t greasy, it leaned more towards a dry rub, but the flavor was just okay for me. My wife enjoyed it more than I did.
Also, we ordered the sandwiches mild, but I have to say, there wasn’t any hint of spice at all. If you want a real kick, definitely go for a level higher than mild. Overall, it’s definitely worth checking out!

The food was fresh as always. The service was top notch and the wait time for the food was phenomenal. The only gripe I have is that the medium and hot aren’t as spicy as before. The medium heat wasn’t felt until the end of me finishing the sandwich. There was some heat but not for it to be called and have habanero and ghost peppers.

I’ve been a loyal patron of fry the coop since they opened one in Elmhurst. I found that the consistency of quality wasn’t there throughout the visits.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been and coming here was a pleasant surprise. The chicken was crispy, the inside was moist and tender. The fries were perfectly seasoned. Everything was so hot!
It brought back a sense of desire to come back more often.

Normally I get the chicken sandwich which is incredible as well but today because we were so excited to give the limited time beef tallow wings a try and they did not disappoint! Perfectly fried and excellent flavor. You can taste that everything is fresh and the quality of all their menu items that I have tried is top tier. We go to this location frequently and have never left unsatisfied!
