Yooo this place was fire . Really surprised by the flavor on the sandwiches. Also I recommend the chili cup or bowl with the side of cornbread. Never in my imagination did I think that was a good combination but I will never forget this dish. Their chili is more like a barbacoa soup but soooo good. Staff super friendly and very clean upkeep and kitchen. Definitely coming back for more.

Aug 2023: party of 2- very surprised and the food was delicious! Very rare to say. Sammiches were Very flavorful, and the coleslaw was good typically not a fan of it but they got us to eat their coleslaw that speaks volumes! Fries were made fresh so watch out they are hot. Good music choice, clean location that is kid friendly.

Service was great and the place had a nice vibe but the food was not the best. Both our sandwiches were smothered with condiments and the amount of cheese on my grilled cheese was enough to make 3 sandwiches. The tomato soup was tasty though.

They got the best buffalo chicken tender , I can not forget the taste as I moved out of Cambridge . I’ve tried many places and never find a better one. This place can be one of a kind. Must goes through the world. Even the rest but my best choices listed all.

Great Comfort food with lovely portion sizes and prices. My picture shows a half portion of fries and onion rings, imagine a full one! A wide selection of items lets you eat here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff are nice and friendly too. I highly recommend the Philly steak sandwich special, only available on Saturdays!

I went here for Sunday brunch with a bunch of friends. The place has decent ambience. My server was really nice, polite and very quick. We ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and lemonades. Lemonade was super refreshing. Then it was time for Felafel sandwich and Eggs with grilled cheese. Everything was delicious, portion size was also not bad at all. Overall it was a good experience for the price I paid (~$40).

Delicious sandwich! I got the ‘Gobbler’ and it didn’t disappoint. The french fries were good too. They have lots of other options- something for everyone. I’ll definitely be back to try another All Star Sandwich!

All Star is a standout and one of my favorite places when I know I need to fuel my body and soul. Every sandwich I’ve had has been filling and well made. And don’t forget about the specials! There are some things on the menu I still haven’t tried because I get lured into the specials quite often.

A long time ago, I was out at a fancy dinner and asked the waiter for suggestions on where to eat around Boston. He offered up All Star Sandwich Bar. I went a few weeks later and really liked it. I started going all the time. Then, probably because I had a son, I just stopped.
Well Monday, I went back, and it is a shame I went so long without eating there because I really enjoyed my sandwich. I got the Mr. Miyagi (love the name) which is Sweet chile ginger hoisin glazed pulled pork, Thai basil, cilantro, English cucumber, pickled daikon radish, carrots, fried egg and sesame sriracha aioli on a grilled sesame brioche roll. It was excellent.
My wife got the cubano which I have enjoyed in the past and she said it was very good. My son had a grilled cheese and we all shared an order of fries. Other sandwiches I liked back when I used to go more often include the Beef on Weck, The Atomic Meatloaf, and occasionally a funky burger.
Even though there is table service, the atmosphere is casual and the service is relaxed, so come as you are. The sandwiches are about $15 each and come with coleslaw and a pickle. Inman Square isn’t the easiest place to park but there is a lot on Springfield Street that sometimes has spots. Bottom line, if you want a good, not-so-ordinary sandwich, All Star Sandwich Bar is a good place to go. If you like it, you can thank that waiter who told me about it, whoever he was.
