Re-established in 1998 by Ken and Diane Boucher, the Wood River Inn quickly became the go to Restaurant and Lounge in Washington County. Their sons Troy and Jim (and their awesome staff) continue to offer the same great food, service and entertainment today. Live music and trivia returned to the Wood River this spring, new menu items and specials are offered nightly, craft beers on tap from local breweries and some of the finest cocktails in the area. Stop by for a drink, good food and a great atmosphere.

We visited Wood River Bar & Grill for trivia on a Thursday. It was our first time, and despite not having a reservation, the hostess graciously seated us near the event. She was incredibly accommodating. We enjoyed some delicious beers and wings and even shared a generous portion of nachos, which we both loved! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, exactly what I look for in a bar and grill. Our waitress provided amazing service; she was sweet and attentive. We’ll definitely be back for more great food, vibes, and trivia. Five stars!

5 stars all around! Service was excellent as was the food. Only one hing missing is a patio. Would love to be able to sit outside (would probably have enjoyed an additional beer if I was on a patio). Love that they support local breweries too.

Buffalo chicken salad was tasteful. Service was friendly, down to earth and efficient. The dinning hall option separate from the bar scene was nice. Music bingo was happening while we were eating but bearable.

Exceptional food every time. My friends had burgers that looked incredible. Huge portions. My breaded chicken sandwich was definitely home made. It had to have been tenderized because it was large and very thin like a well-made schnitzel. Perfectly cooked, still juicy, very flavorful breading – possibly a Johnny cake batter? Bar is from the 1800s and feels like a stagecoach tavern. Very historical. Not fancy but super fun atmosphere. The server was extremely friendly and helpful and “on it”. The fries were a+ too and looked to be made there
