The food here is always fantastic. Some of my favorite bar food. The chicken tenders are huge and full of meat. Beer batter fries and homemade chips are really good. Highly recommend. Also love that this place doesn’t smell like cigarettes like most bars do.

I like this bar. Friendly staff, locals spot. Lot of fried bar food on the menu but it’s pretty good. I enjoy the fish & chips. Lots of TV’s to watch games, with sound on, which many places don’t do. Haven’t had much luck on the machines but overall a decent spot.

I wasn’t a big fan of the tuna melt ( it was fine, not fantastic), but the service and vintage ambience was awesome. Ps- the other food item is their Bread Pudding dessert. When a guy next to me ordered it, I had to take a picture. It is almost 3 hours since I ate there and I am still full. I only had the sandwich and fries. I will be back.

Great place but now they’re not showing the Vikings games b/c they don’t want to buy the NFL pkg! What?? Don’t call yourself a Minnesota bar then. We had a great time there every game we watched there last year but now forget it. We won’t go. What a stupid decision.

Came here because I heard the chicken fingers were good and they exceeded our expectations! They are bomb! Also, their onion rings are great. I could tell both were made from scratch immediately. This is definitely going to be one of our regular spots now. The service was amazing too. I can’t wait to try more menu items and drinks in the near future!

I had a very disappointing experience at this bar. The bartender working during my visit, named Kylie, spoke to me in a way that felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Several of her comments about my appearance made me extremely uncomfortable, and the overall tone of the interaction felt judgmental and unwelcoming. For one example, I asked for a drink refill and Kylie rolled her eyes and stated “you’ll be lucky I don’t spit in it” and walked away.
No guest should ever feel singled out or spoken to like that. I hope management addresses this, because the environment did not feel safe or inclusive, and I would hate for anyone else to have the same experience.

Haven’t been to Blue Ox in about 30 years. My Mom use to take us there as kids. I remember the chicken fingers were the best. Let me tell you.. they still are. I got the full meal and took home a few fingers to my family since they were so big and they loved them. They look like fish and chips. The batter they use is fantastic. The Viking burger my son had tonight was also delicious. My son told me he’d definitely be back. Lisa our server, did a great job. I believe I saw a sign that said 21 or older to enter. Across from the airport runway so every few minutes it feels like a bass speaker in the building. The furniture and booths inside are a bit dated but did the job. We’ll be back.
