Great home cooking! My husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & brown beans. He was very satisfied. I had the chicken tips, fried okra, & mac & cheese. The chicken was tender & well seasoned. The macaroni was overcooked in my opinion. The noodles just disintegrated before I could even chew & the cheese sauce was very watery. It’s not a baked mac & cheese. Other than that, I have no complaints. Service was great & I’d go back again.

Highly recommend reaching out to KJ’s for their catering service, or just a good meal at the restaurant! The pictures I posted are a catering they have done yearly for us for a bit. Everyone always asks where it’s from because it’s so good! They also deliver and provide hot boxes to keep the food warm. A very great service!

I had the special of the day; a country fried steak. So incredible! A relatively easy dish, but so many places end up overcooking… I could cut this with a fork! Excellent. Just what I wanted, actually, and I had no idea what they served when I got there 😀

Was a fan, now our fav waitress left (which the one we had was great) it’s getting pricey just like all places. The thing that got me was my husband omelet with jalapenos ( mine with), when asked how our food was, we nicely said “fine but their was jalapenos in both omelets.” She was apologetic and told the kitchen about the mistake. Get this they told her ” No there wasn’t ” wow! we tipped as usual b/c we knew it wasn’t her fault.

I ordered the BBQ nachos, the meat tasted old and nasty. The waitress told the Cooks what I said and she came back to the table and told me they said the meat was fresh and tasted fine. I could not eat my food and was still charged full price for nasty food. I will not be going back. Very disappointed

Amos was a wonderfully gracious host. The food was amazingly fabulous. Flavors and textures were excellent. Definitely worth the small detour. We will definitely be visiting again while passing through the area on our next family adventure in experiencing God’s beautiful creations sprinkled in every corner of America.

Food was a fine, regular diner grub. I had coffee, loaded hasbrowns, with biscuits and gravy. Only surprise was the cost of the b & g. (Wasn’t listed on the menu, but it was a few dollars more than I was expecting)

That was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. It had $2 signs but it was like the least inexpensive place I’ve ever had to pay. I got a full breakfast including coffee for a total of $8.61. My band was in town for a fest we were playing. I really wish we had one here in San Antonio.

I came in for breakfast and was very pleased! My eggs were cooked sunny side up perfectly. The bacon wasn’t undercooked nor overcooked but right in the middle for a perfectly crisp texture. The ham was dripping with flavor and lacked dryness. Most defiantly the most impressive breakfast I have had in a very long time.
