If I could I’d give this place zero stars. However since I want to warn you guys before coming to this McDonald’s I must put a star. Let me start by this. I went to McDonald’s during lunch and the person taking my order ignored me for 5 minutes until they remembered they had someone waiting at the drive though. Then when they took my order the lady who took my order was incredibly rude. Then when I got to the order they overcharged me. When I brought it to their attention they didn’t care and cursed at me. When I pulled to the second win do they told me to pull forward and I sat with my kids waiting for our food for 20 minutes. So I went in to ask for my 10 piece nugget meal and my cheese burger happy meal and top it off they got my happy meal wrong and forgot my nuggets and drink! And the fries were moldy. I told them my daughter was allergic to onions and asked if they could please make the cheese burger only cheese and ketchup. They cursed at me threw the burger at me after wiping the onions off like hello? My daughter can’t eat that still. So I asked for a refund and the manager Kylar refused to give me a refund by the way not to mention how insanely rude and unprofessional the workers are, two workers bagging the food were kissing on eachother for all to see. And the guy was rubbing the girls butt. Public display of affection in a work environment should not be allowed like that. Kylar needs to be fired and the employees need better training on how to treat guests. I’m so glad Culver’s will be opening up in derby. I will be glad to take my hard earned money to Culver’s before I step back into this place.

You go to McDonald’s because you know what you’re going to get. Everytime. Except when they mix your order with someone else’s. My 85 yo mother-in-law received her 2 fish sandwiches. One for now, one for later. I’m not sure where our quarter pounders ended up. We received two different types of chicken sandwiches. Neither to our liking. At least we know for certain never to order them. One bite was enough for us. The bonus, we got an extra fry. I learned my lesson. Just because I see the correct amount of sandwiches in the bag, doesn’t mean they’re the right ones. Especially when I have a 20 minute drive home. There’s no going back to fix it, as long as the MIL is happy, we ate the fries.

How is this place open? The only reason this place as 5 star reviews is because they tell the customers to give them 5 star reviews and they have their workers use customer receipts to give them good ratings. The manager Kyler was insanely rude all the workers here were all rude. I came in with my family and low and behold all the tables were dirty grimy we ordered our food to go they forgot everything we ordered except for the nuggets and fries when we mentioned it they refused to do anything. I asked to speak to the manager and Kyler his name is, greeted us rudely. He cursed at me and wouldnt let me have my receipt. Also isnt there a rule on public display of affection in a work place?? There were two workers grabbing and kissing on eachother people in lobby could see. My little girl was crying because of how the manager was. Never again will I come to this place.

Consistently poor cleanliness. I visit every Monday, and 9 out of 10 times the tables and soda fountain area are dirty. It looks like a management or staffing consistency issue, but it really makes dining in unpleasant.

Since I have to give this a review I will give it a one star, but it deserves a 0 stars. Do not waste your money coming to this location. Go anywhere in derby other then this location..
If you expect the manager, Damian to keep his word and replace your food, forget it, he will lie and say that conversation never happened.
I ordered over 40 in food and got home for all of it to be cold, fries soggy, nuggets, soggy. Everything. I immediately called spoke to Damien who supposedly put my name down on a list and told me he would replace the meal. Fast forward to me coming in with a receipt to have it replaced and he in other words called me a liar and offered to replace under 10.00 of food.
Poor management, poor food, not to mention the cleanliness inside is non-existent.

Ordered 4 hot n spicy 2 no mayo and a mcdouble check the order they all say no mayo walk in tell them what’s wrong the “cook” littary squrts so Much mayo on the hot n spicy the buns slide off you can’t even eat them. So I go back up in there show them the sandwiches and ask how you sopuseed to eat it like that? They have them remade the right way. I finally get to my mcdouble and it’s literally one bun here slab of meat here cheese in the middle slab meat over here pickles barley under the bun and the other bun barley on the meat but I wasn’t going back in there. Anyways bad experience… Oh and tell your “cook” this ain’t the “prison slop line” MAKE IT RIGHT OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Once again, they got the order wrong. They had it right at the order screen. But instead of a double cheeseburger, I got 1 patty with 2 slices of cheese. So, technically, I got “double cheese” burger. The other double cheeseburger that was ordered was correct. Plus, it was over a 15-minute wait after I paid at the first window. The previous 2 out of 5 visits I ordered a Diet Coke and was given a Coke – even though I asked the last time to confirm it was Diet Coke. And it wasn’t.

First, I recognize that fast food in general is not amazing. I don’t have high expectations. I do however expect my order to be done quickly and correctly. This McDonald’s failed on both counts. Our order was messed up and it took longer than it should have to get it fixed. I recognize that the lunch hour is busy, however when a mistake is made, correcting it ought to be priority.
While it was a nice touch for the manager to bring our food to us in the beginning, that quickly soured. He told me that they were defrosting the blue raspberry Fanta frozen drink. He said we could wait around 5 minutes, or change flavors. My two who wanted blue raspberry said they would wait. I was told he would let them team know and get those to us as quickly as possible. Well, he never told anyone as he was too busy chumming it up with a couple of customers. While waiting for our messed up order, this man had the audacity to get after his team for lack of organization. Sir, you have ZERO room to complain about anyone’s lack of organization since you couldn’t be bothered to communicate a customer’s need to your team.
As has been noted in other reviews the ketchup was orange and bubbly as it does when it is going bad. The play place reeked and had obviously not been swept or cleaned in a while.
Overall a horrible experience. We will not come back to this particular McDonald’s in future. Bad management, bad service, and bad food.

The McDonald’s just south of Derby High on Rock Road. An overall dependable McD’s when compared to the many flop stops of this chain. I’ve had some fair service and quickly made orders here, and there is plenty of space to dine in. Value pricing has faded out though and they can have some serious issues with food and employees. If it has to be the yellow arches then I recommend this one over most McDonald’s but don’t expect to be just lovin’ it.
