Stopped at this Opelousas location for the first time after a funeral for a quick lunch before heading home out of town. Such a pleasant group of employees! We were greeted by all upon arrival. Our waitress Val was courteous, quick, & professional. Every employee told us goodbye when we left, including an off duty employee waiting outside for his ride home. Whomever is managing this location is doing a marvelous job with their staff. The restaurant was quite clean & decorated for Christmas. Will definitely stop at this location in the future!

It was our first time visiting Opelousas, Louisiana and the only thing we liked about everything we did was going to Waffle House. Charity Clark was so sweet with my baby, she was always attentive to me and my mom. She made us love the experience at Waffle House. If all Waffle Houses had people like her, I think people would be happier eating at this restaurant chain, since the other locations I’ve been to here in Houston don’t give you very good service. And at the end of the day, we loved the food!

I am so glad that this waffle house is back to normal. The last time I was here it was when covid was still effecting our daily lives and how restaurants were very limited on what they could do. The staff tonight was great. Food was great and was always asking if we needed anything. Truely have people here that care.

Ordered Papa Joe’s Pork Chop Dinner with hash browns, added onions to the hash browns, and one egg scrambled. As soon as the waiter, Hunter, called out the order to Jane, the cook, she told him he called it out wrong. It then came to me wrong. Waitress Asia took my plate and explained they had to remake the food because it had already been to the table. I watched Jane tell Asia she was not remaking the food. Jane added peppers and cheese. The plate was returned to me. The food was good but the atmosphere seemed tense.

I will never! Eat here again.. I got royally ripped off I ordered from here online 2 “steak and egg breakfast” and 2 waffles and ended up paying 70$ for the poorest excuse of breakfast iv ever tried to eat! The steak was a small dryed up peice of Jerky and grits was hard n clumpy! I’m so pissed bc for just one of those and 2 choco waffles it was $37 and I have a $45 charge on my card I guess they added them an extra tip.. the other just “steak breakfast” was 27$!!! Outrageous!! I could have gotten a REAL steak dinner Never.. ever.. again! I didn’t put no pick up bc honestly I fed it to my dog;(/

This morning took my granddaughter & her 2 little cousins to eat breakfast this am. Service was good , my order wasn’t correct , mushrooms wasn’t added , the vegetables were not grilled well, so I had to send them back , they added the mushrooms but wasn’t grilled well. The atmosphere was excellent the girls had a blast . The waitress played Elsa Let It Go ! The girls loved it !

Waffle House is a great place to visit and enjoy comfort foods. But the fact that it’s is has become a major breeding ground for the high profile criminals behavior and drug traffickers is ridiculous. Oftentimes the customer is over heard buying drugs and seen making transactions using Cashapp.
Over the years there has been numerous unsolved murders on Waffle House property. In the recent added video footage recorded on September 6, 2023. Guns was drawn, branded, and pointed in the direction of the customers allegedly. The facts are that the cook and a customer somehow exchanged verbally and the conversation escalated into a situation where the Waffle House employee exited the restaurant to fight the customer. Any well trained employee knows that you don’t leave the area during this incident. But it’s a different breed of employees at the Waffle House. I’ve seen things that are very much inappropriate and unacceptable for any workplace. Waffle House real Corporate office needs to address these issues before they end up in a major lawsuit and legal litigation concerning negligences and violations.
Luckily quick action and being vigilant prevented it disastrous outcome. This could have easily became a mass shooting.
Baton Rouge police officers arrived in record timing. 5star response time. But the police officer didn’t arrest anyone nor issued any summons for weapons violations. All weapons involved were returned to owners. Was the action justified based upon the circumstances of evidences, statements and testimony. I’m not sure if it was or not. All I know is My vehicle would have been 10-15 J3 (5 Times). I don’t do interviews on roadside. We do that at the station. The case goes to DA for processing and if they feel that the evidence for prosecution is there. Then we go to court. This Waffle House refusal to prosecute is an inconvenience to the millions of innocent people who dine annually in their restaurants all over the country. The only questions that I have is “ how many people must die before you realize that your policy is not working out for the majority of Americans citizens who eats daily meals in your restaurant every single day and every single night.”

The employees talk too much and it’s causing them to be super slow at taking orders and letting the cook know the order. If they weren’t talking so much I would have gotten my order faster.

It was late after the creole festival and o ly the take out window ws open. I ordered online and food was ready about 10 mins after arrival. Overall a great experience.
