We ordered our drinks, appetizers and salads. Drinks came out and were very tasty. Our salad was good but plain. The appetizers were both delicious and bad at the same time. The potato skins weren’t cooked completely and the lumpia was just bland. The southwest egg rolls were top notch along with the onion rings.
Unfortunately, when our check came, we were extremely disappointed. Yet again, another restaurant charging us to pay them with credit cards. That would’ve been nice to know upfront and very much might’ve swayed whether we ate there or not.
But due to the amount of work that was required of her it was impossible for truly good service. Therefore we left the minimum tip, and felt guilty because it wasn’t her fault. I suppose someone else decided not to show up that day or something.
Appetizers are supposed to come early or fast and always before the main course, but unfortunately ours didn’t get to our table until the exact time as the rest of the food. It was also an extraordinarily long wait to get food at all.
Place is very crowded, loud and extremely noisy. Would not recommend to those that get overstimulated easily like those with autism and/or on the spectrum etc. I was having these issues with the loudness of the place and amount of activity of so many people. We went right at dinner time around 5-5:30 no later than six in the evening.
The waitress used the same rag without sanitizing it for multiple tables, I witnessed three being wiped down back to back and I’m sure there was more. I don’t know what it was wet with but appeared to be water for the table did not look properly disinfected/cleaned once we sat down.
However I did like the waitress’s attitude, she was very positive and upbeat and loved the huge glasses of sweet tea we got. Reminded me of a German beer Stein, or a common mug in Germany.
We only came here because the German restaurant right across the street said reservations only otherwise there would be a long two hour wait.
We still had a good time, food was okay, but overpriced. Was good to get out of the house. Masks were not required which was nice. (As of August 30, 2021)
They do have a seating area for dine in and also a small outside dine in tables. There is a bar right by the dine in with another waitress maintaining the bar. But only one waitress was doing both the in and outside dine in.
I would recommend this for those that want to get liquored up or enjoy a beer and a meal. Since I was coming with a family for family meal it was not an ideal location and meal.
