This place is awesome!
TV’s are viewable from every seat at your table. No need to fight for which side of the table you’re going to sit on.
The food was so good.
We had the Charcuterie Board, Prime Rib Philly, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, Lamb Ribs…. We couldn’t agree which one was best. But, we all agreed everything was excellent.
The service was top notch. Friendly, attentive and not overwhelming.
Went once shortly after opening, and it was just ok. Came back and sat at the bar, and had a good experience!
Poke nachos are absolutely delicious and massive. So worth it for the price. My friend had the tuna salad and loved it also (except it’s not necessarily advertised correctly due to the type of tuna?).
Drinks were good, they were out of my friends wine and gave her the stale end of the bottle, that was our only negative part of our meal!
There’s not too many great 24 hour restaurants in the south west section of Las Vegas but this is one of them. If you’re looking for some bar food but want a slightly less bar looking type of feel, this is the place to go to.
I’ve only at here a few times, but every time I tried something new, the food turned out really good. Highlights such as the hummus, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, street corn nachos. The variety of bar food is pretty wide and seems to be great quality all across the board.
IF you want a slightly fast service, you can go to the bar which you can also order food. The only downside fall is if they get busy and you’re unable to get their attention. I haven’t sat in the regular restaurant area yet so I can’t describe that service.
There’s many different settings you can experience with this place alone. You can either be outdoor watching the game, inside in a regular restaurant seating or the bar area with gambling. All of these locations give you a great view to watch whatever game(s) may be playing at that time. This place is 24 hours but I believe that the outdoor area does close at a certain time.
The cool thing about their outdoor area is that they have different types of events at types too like live music such as the dueling piano event. Definitely adds more to than just a regular restaurant.
Food: My chicken Caesar’s salad was DO disappointing! Their Caesar dressing takes like creamy Italian, is not a true Caesar dressing, and the salad was mostly yellow hard in the middle chunks. Will not be ordering again. My husband loved his fried chicken sandwich and wings. My daughter got the kids chicken, she said they were too spicy and her soda refill was flat.
The hostess was so kind!
The atmosphere is fun, love all the sports on the tvs.
This was our first visit, we will give it another try, but will make sure we have a different waitress.
I’ve been here many times. It’s hard to beat a good deal, and I usually end up grabbing a few appetizers and, somehow, feeding a couple hundred dollars into the machines as well. To start with the positives: the food itself is great, the sportsbook is excellent, and the visuals and sports viewing while dining are top notch. Historically, the staff at The George has also been very good, which made this visit especially frustrating.
We specifically came out tonight for the advertised deal and to gamble. The promotion was being advertised throughout the property, which my family pointed out as we arrived. When I asked our server about it, he told us the George special wasn’t available until late night. That struck me as odd since I’ve ordered it in the afternoon before with multiple people. Another staff member later told us the deal wasn’t being offered at all today. I checked Durango’s website, which clearly listed the deal as available 24/7. At that point, we didn’t make a big deal out of it and everyone ordered something else. However, the service noticeably declined after that. We ordered a margarita with our initial drink order and never received it. When the server returned to take food orders, I asked again about the 24/7 cheeseburger and was told no, reiterating that it was the George special we had already asked about. It all felt uncomfortable, especially since I’ve previously been told that staff don’t love the deal because it isn’t very profitable. I understand that perspective, but if it’s being advertised, guests shouldn’t feel like a burden for ordering it.
Once the food arrived, service continued to be an issue. Two of us asked for ketchup, one person asked for napkins, and we realized we were short on silverware. None of those requests were fulfilled. Several water glasses at the table were empty when the food arrived, and we never received refills. I ended up drinking my mother’s water because no one checked on us.
A staff member eventually walked by and asked how everything was, and everyone said the food was great. At that point, the meal was essentially over and I didn’t bother asking for everything we’d been missing. We then waited another 15 minutes for the check while our server chatted at the bar. After waiting long enough, I stepped away to use the restroom, and the bill finally arrived shortly after I returned.
In short, it’s possible the deal truly wasn’t available tonight, but it felt more like it was a “24/7 at our convenience” situation. Regardless, the service was unacceptable and really solidified the experience for me.
I did call to verify and they stated it was 11pm to 6am. So I’m not sure why it states 24/7 or why I’ve mainly gotten it in the afternoon could be because of the holiday. But seems disingenuous to advertise it on the monitor right beside the retirement and on all the signs without anything before entering saying it’s not available.
To be clear if management reads. The issue isn’t the price/deal but the switch in the quality of service was blatant. It’s as easy as saying, “we don’t offer that tonight would you still like to look over the menu?” Vs avoiding us, not getting or drinks, condiments, silverware and so on. I’m around pretty often so I’ll adjust it with time. The morning and afternoon staff have always been great and I should have left a good review long before I left this.
