I loved everything about this place. We got lucky and didn’t have to wait for a table so we visited the surrounding shops after to burn off some calories. I had an alligator po boy that was seasoned so delicious with lots of perfectly seasoned fried gator. Also yummy strawberry daiquiri! Husband had raw oysters and a stuffed flounder. “Cheap Sunglasses” Beer was his drink. So awesome you get to mix your own cocktail sauce!

We had a very friendly and helpful server. I had a dozen oysters and 2 of them had a slightly odd after taste. Not sure if that’s what they are supposed to taste like. I have not had gulf oysters many times. I didn’t get sick the next day so it was probably nothing. The gumbo was amazing. I would definitely go back.

We got there right at dinner time and they were busy and we had a 20 min wait. They were so kind and offered us to sit at the bar if we wanted. We didn’t Roni was so sweet. She took great care of us. The food came out quicker than we thought. It was so fresh and delicious. We will definitely go back. Thank you!

Don’t waste your time and money on seafood that’s cooked from frozen product and sold as fresh! Can you believe on Gulf Coast and not securing fresh oysters or fish! Not at all how they portray themselves. When they decide to serve fresh food we’ll come back. This review is the Gulf Shores location. Imagine Mobile, AL not much changes?

We have eaten at the Oyster House many times when we visit Gulf Shores. We went there on a recent Saturday for lunch and the “hostess” briskly walked us to our table. She never once acknowledged our presence. She walked well in front of us, put the menus on the table and literally passed us as she walked back to the hostess table. At the least, she was RUDE. I’d rather use another word to describe her. They were NOT BUSY! We promptly left and ate elsewhere. I’m still irritated thinking about how obnoxious her behavior was. We weren’t greeted. She never even made eye contact with us and never said even one word. I wish I had gotten her name because she should be fired or put somewhere where she doesn’t interact with customers.
