My husband and I showed up at about 10:30 last night (January 28, 2026) for dinner. Even though the restaurant closes at 11 p.m. our server, Allison, was so welcoming. She took our order and we received it quickly. The food was outstanding. I got a double cheeseburger and cheese curds. I suggest trying them with ranch instead of the hot honey that’s served with them. The burger was fresh and the patties tasted as if they were hand formed from fresh meat, not frozen. The curds were out of this world. My husband got a bacon and onion jam burger and coleslaw. He said that the jam was one of the best things he’s ever tasted on a burger. Our server was kind and very attentive to our needs. If I could give our experience a 10 I would.

I like stopping at truck stop restaurants. To sit down and be served a hot fresh meal beats fast food any day. This was no exception. Service and food were very good and plentiful. I had a French toast breakfast (at 4pm) and my wife a turkey club. Truck stop has a full range of amenities including exercise room, shop and barber!!!

I came in alone to have a hot dinner and decided to have breakfast for dinner . 4 other drivers there plus myself. Lady cook and 2 servers , one working… Abby, the one who took my order, came to me in a minute or so and took my drink order and returned with my water with no ice as requested. She must have had a little cold because she kept coughing into her sleeve , OR she was a smoker or both. She was pleasant and smiled when taking my order. She also spoke to the lady cook about my order of requested hashbrowns, almost burnt!! Everything was hot and tasty !! It was good !! I would stop here again. I have parked here before, just didn’t eat at THIS Iron Skillet! While finishing my meal, I was observing the surroundings and noticed CUCUMBER WATER in a pitcher in the cooler and asked if it was for customers or employees and she said she makes it for the workers but that I could have some!! ABBY hooked me up and when I asked for a box for the 2nd half of my meal, she asked if I wanted a TOGO cup!! Heck YEA!! I have cucumbers and can refill with my own water on the truck all day tomorrow too!!

There is ample parking with the main store that has the iron skillet. There is also a store with restrooms at the fuel island. Plenty here to do if you are on a break like pool tables, barber shop and more. The iron skillet has wonderful people and food. Stephanie was super nice and on the money when it came to fast polite service.

This might be the worst Iron Stomach I had visited. Someone doesn’t know the difference between green beans and string beans. If you order green beans you’ll end up with starvation food. The smothered turkey equally hideous. It’s simply lunch meat turkey with oversalted brown gravy.
I’m actually looking forward to a couple of double stacks from Wendy’s.

Very poor service it took 10min’s before I had anyone come to ask about drinks and there was only 7 people for 2 waitresses. I ordered over easy eggs they literally came out deep fried, the corned beef hash was awful the hash browns were also burnt to a crisp. If you headed north on the 75 just drive the extra hour and eat at the Iorn Skillet in Duncan, SC much better.

Great stop! Hot showers. Laundry. They still have an iron skillet! Barber! And a change machine (to stock up on quarters for those stops that won’t give a driver enough)! Plenty of parking. I miss full service truck stops like this! I’d definitely stop again! Ty!!

I definitely DO NOT recommend the chicken parm stack. It was a giant soggy mess. SO soggy that it was a giant pile of mush when you tried to pick it up. I honestly don’t even understand how they got it so soggy. All of the breading on the chicken even slide clear off of the chicken as if it had never been breaded.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Iron Skillet Restaurant! The chicken teriyaki stir fry was a burst of flavors, perfectly cooked and seasoned. And don’t get me started on their biscuits and gravy – a true comfort food delight. Five stars for the fantastic food and friendly service!
