The best seafood pasta in the city!! Most close to what we’ve eaten in Italy . Seafood pasta had lobster scallop shrimp , squid and mussels. Beats anything else in Vaughan and Downtown Toronto . Service was quick and Owner is very friendly as well! Pricing is very reasonable for what was provided . Tiramisu is a must try for dessert!

Amazing food overall. Cook the way we liked and came within a reasonable time range. Our waiter, Rob, was very energetic and brought a warming vibe to our table. Atmosphere was very nice despite how busy it was. Definitely will be revisiting more often.

I called around 12:30pm today (Thursday Feb 26) because I was ready to confirm my reservation at ZiZi for a group of seven this Saturday Feb 28, but wanted to clarify and double-check the billing. A previous employee had told me it would be possible to either pay with separate cards or split the total.
The male employee I spoke with today became agitated and rude, repeatedly saying the restaurant “only gives one bill per table” and that splitting it wasn’t their responsibility. He said their focus is providing good food and service and that they don’t have time to split bills, but what I requested is part of good customer service. I’m bringing business to the restaurant, and it’s unreasonable to expect me to sit with my group of seven and divide everything myself when the restaurant can do it.
He jumped to conclusions, asking “Do you have a reservation? Do you want to cancel? What’s your name?” before I could explain. I remained calm and respectful the entire time, while he spoke to me in a disrespectful and aggressive tone. He kept interrupting me, and I eventually had to say, “Can you let me finish or are you going to keep cutting me off?”
I understand restaurants can be busy, but that doesn’t excuse poor customer service. I’ve had good experiences here before, which made this interaction especially disappointing. I hope service improves.

The atmosphere of place is like a warehouse and not fine dining . Food is good but not amazing. We ordered a chicken dish which seemed too stiff. Salmon pasta was amazing. Wine selection is good. Dessert was most disappointing Cappuccino truffle recommended by server is just ice cream with small adds The pics on menu seem to suggest it’s a pastry. I would not recommend trying that out

Calamari Alla Griglia
Tender grilled calamari with balsamic vinegar pesto.
Fabulous texture – very tender and firm,”meaty” at the same time.
A bit spicy with sweet notes. I really liked it!
Bistecca ai Ferri
A perfectly cooked medium-rare striploin was tender and juicy. I asked to exclude sautéed onions for me, but keep mushrooms. So, my photo is not exactly the same as it normally served.
However, it was almost impossible to decide which was better this steak with mushrooms or “Bistecca ZiZi” which is grilled and then sautéed in brandy and cream sauce. The latter was also tender and cooked just to a medium-rare condition as requested.
Both steaks ere served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes, although I think that for a steak sauteed in sauce something with a bit more bitter flavor – like, kale or rapini, – will augment the dish with a more interesting contrast.
Cappuccino Truffle
At first, we were not impressed by the desert selection, but we gave a try and were amazed by this dish: small pieces of coffee meringue covers soft, gently sweet Cappuccino Gelato. It was a small and simple masterpiece in the European tradition.
I have to add that Zizi Trattorria offers not just very good service and gastronomic delights, but also great value as their portions are generous (steaks are 10 oz!) and very reasonably priced.
Highly recommended for those who live in Vaughan or visiting Wonderland or Vaughn Mills shopping center.

We ate here this week and the food was delicious. It was our 25th anniversary dinner and we couldn’t have asked for a better meal. We ordered mainly seafood dishes and they were the best I’ve had in a very long time. The owner is wonderful and the service was fantastic. Will definitely return to ZiZi.
