I have been here before, had lovely food and service. however on Sunday just gone (24th jan between 4-6pm) I rang to acquire about a large booking for my birthday. as I had been let down by another restaurant in Darwen. ( not my doing and out of my control) and rather than being understanding, explaining if they could accommodate me I got told “I shouldn’t really mention to other restaurants that I have been let down” in a rude tone as if I was the problem. extremely poor service from the man on the phone for a 19 person booking on a Sunday in the January month.

Lovely warm welcome at the door which continued throughout the evening.
Great choice across the menu at a range of prices with main meals from about £12-£30.
We had 2 starters, 2 main meals, desserts and a bottle of wine for £72.
Would highly recommend

Recently visited Ciao Baby after hearing good things, an honneslty couldn’t agree more after our visit.!!

It’s probably a few years since I’ve last been, and this place has certainly changed!! Upon walking in, you are met with a rather modern theme interior with hanging vines/ trellises, modern lighting, and live fires, giving the place rather interment an cosy vibe. Giving the feeling you’re on an Italian terrace

The staff are amazing!! We were met at reception by a bubble team and were quickly seated at our table.

The staff were great in taking our drinks & food orders and helped explain a couple of things we were unsure about!! Was a little spoiled for choice as they have a great selection of classic Italian dishes on offer with some rather nice sessional specials. Too many choose from!!

Food arrived fast and was really nice!! .. Didn’t order anything flash or overly fancy, just a classic simple carbonara with some focaccia bread, oils / balsamic.. Was rely rely good!! Wolfed the lot!! .. the bread was warm and fresh with a good balance of Rosmary & sea salt. The Carbonara was rich and creamy and well balanced .. Complemented with a Crisp glass white wine, I could happily of sat there all afternoon getting pissed !!…

Least to say was left feeling stuff and satisfied an will deffently be returning!!

Highly recommended giving this place a try!!

10/10 from use!!

Terrible service. When you book a table for 7pm you expect to be seated at 7. After waiting in the bar for 35 minutes the incompetent, inattentive servers pretended like we weren’t there. Groups of people who came in much later than us were seated. We had to eventually leave hungry. If you value your time don’t eat here.

Quite possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Definitely the greasiest I’ve ever seen in my life. Ordered one pizza for takeaway. Dripping in grease. The toppings actually slid off the pizza when you picked it up so you couldn’t really eat it without wearing it. Very disappointing as the interior is very nice and staff are friendly. But as for the pizza we got. Disgusting. That’s the only word that can describe it.

Really great, went for lunch with my husband. He had the fillet of steak and ribs for starters and I had goats cheese to start, caprese salad for main. Both were delicious! Atmosphere was lovely and waiting staff were great- would recommend.

Absolutely beautiful food and even though they were really busy the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Had a brilliant time and will definitely visit again.

We are new to the area, so my husband searched out an Italian restaurant within a reasonable commute for a Sunday family dinner (it was my birthday).
The restaurant was lovely and on first impressions, the menu looked authentic with a good variety of choice. We were taken to a booth facing the cooking area, with no other diners around us so this wasnt the best of starts. The food wasn’t the best – the veal saltimbocca had to be sent back as the gristle and inability to cut was unimpressive. The sauce it was served in would be better described as soup as the plate was covered. Side vegetables were almost raw and totally unimpressive. Needless to say, the attitude of the staff changed, one can only assume because of the return. No desserts/coffee/brandies were therefore ordered to complete the meal, due to the latter. Apologies can go a long way to making customers feel that it was an isolated mistake and to encourage a repeat return. Sadly we had nothing, so will not be returning.
