Overall, this place has some great Mexican rice and some incredible steak
What you do in the store: On entrance, you’re met with many table and a buffet like area. This area is full of side dishes including, rice, seafood, and cheese. After you choose all of the side dishes that you like, you sit down at your table. Next, you must turn your dreidel to the green side. This means that whenever the waiter/ waitress arrive with a new type of meat, they will serve it to you. When you turn your dreidel on the red side, it tells the waiter/waitress that you will not want anymore meat.
Areas of strength: This has an amazing design with a strong and beautiful atmosphere with an amazing first appearance. Also, this place has a wide variety of options to choose from with many meats and side dishes. All waiters/waitresses were kind and polite.
Areas of weakness: One of the negatives that this place has is that a lot of the meat that we were served, was dry, or had barely any seasoning. Some of the steaks just tasted like a block of meat the was cooked and hats it. The service was slow. Although this was understandable it was still outrageous. My family asked for a dessert menu and we ended up waiting for an insane 20 minutes before our waiter came back without any menu and just told us the options. We saw him walking to other tables with wine glasses which was probably the thing holding up the wait

One of the most beautiful and unforgettable food experiences I’ve ever had ❤️ Just imagine – you’re in a cave on the Caribbean seashore, the sound of a violin welcoming you. The food is amazing, and offers a wide variety of dishes. It feels very romantic with the candles. The only complaint I have, is that it felt hot in there, like the AC wasn’t working propperly. Other than that, 10 out of 10!

My second time at this restaurant. Disappointed. Service next to non exist. If you want kind of service, pay tips first… Rolling down to bad all inclusive restaurants. Even being tipped in advance our waiter mixed up and forgotten drinks and even birthday cake. Looks like he was running too much clients at the same time, but still it’s not our fault. Air conditioner did not work properly, I t was horrible . Meat was worth than medium. No life music, you fill that they cut the corners big time. Last time wait to the same place was 6 months ago, it was like day and night. We had to go to another place after for dinner. Very bad.

The setting of this restaurant is spectacular, it feels like you’re eating in a very fancy cave and the food is fantastic as well. There is a lot of selection to choose from and the meats that they bring to your table are really abundant. Definitely make sure to use the restrooms at this restaurant as it is a dimly lit cave in itself and a very amusing experience. It’s a little bit complicated to get to this restaurant but well worth it. There was a violinist playing current music and the ambiance was very nice. You must go if you’re staying at this hotel.

We loved this restaurant so much! From the wonderful ambience (live performance and atmosphere) to the variety of food offered, Las Cuevas certainly left an impression on me. If you visit, make sure to try the cinnamon sugar pineapple!

Spectacular Brunch Dominical! You must experience this! One of the best benefits of joining Mexico destination Club I’m becoming a member of Grupo Xcaret is the Sunday Brunch where they go all out what’s the best food offerings you can imagine! From Tomahawk steaks to Alaskan king crab to wild game on an open flame to fresh tuna the size of a piano. You haven’t eaten until you’ve eaten this buffet celebration! The pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!

We had a reservation for 9:00 PM and arrived early at 8:30 PM. After waiting about 10 minutes, we were seated. I had read online that tipping in advance might ensure better service, so I tipped our assigned server immediately after receiving water.
However, the service was disappointing. During the hour we were there, the server only approached us voluntarily twice: once to ask about wine and once for dessert. Dirty plates piled up on our table and were ignored. Our water glasses were empty and never refilled unless we flagged someone down multiple times.
Even though we were seated at 8:40 PM, several food items were already empty. Instead of refilling them, they simply removed the empty trays and filled the space with decorations. I won’t comment on the taste of the food as that is subjective, but the lack of availability was unacceptable.
A man in white who appeared to be a manager walked around the floor, but he never once made eye contact or checked on our table.
There was absolutely no point in making a reservation. I do not recommend this place. My family had a wonderful day with our activities and hoped to end it with a nice dinner, but we were all thoroughly disappointed.
On top of that, the mussels were improperly cleaned (not purged) and we bit into several that contained a lot of grit. Diners should be cautious of this.

Atmosphere is great and that is about it. we had a 7:45 reservation wasn’t actually seated until 8:25 (I have kids that were having a meltdown) server didn’t actually show up until 8:35 and had almost zero explanation (seemed understaffed?) getting food was very slow and the cuts of meat were either overcooked or very rare. Absolutely spectacular! It’s probably one of the best restaurants that I have ever eaten at. The service and food were top-notch. The cooked meats are delicious! The grilled pineapple is ranked in my top 5 things that I have ever eaten! It was warm, juicy and so sweet! I look forward to my next visit!
