Onyx Pizzeria in Springdale is a convenient spot to grab a bite after a day at Zion. The pizza was solid, crispy crust, flavorful and fresh toppings. Some dishes were definitely a hit, but others missed the mark. The soup, in particular, tasted like it was made from the same sauce used on the pizza, which was not very appetizing. The desserts were great!
Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel welcome. The atmosphere leans into a masculine, modern vibe, but the seating was uncomfortable, especially for the ladies in our group, which made it hard to fully relax and enjoy the meal.
Overall, it was a mixed experience. Great service and decent pizza, but inconsistent flavors and some odd choices with the food. Worth a try if you’re in the area, but manage expectations.

We were excited to try this establishment, based on promises of HIGH-END wood fired pizza and overall good reviews on Google. The GOOD: Anna and Chef Samuel were both kind, friendly and helpful. The NOT-AS GOOD: We were dismayed at the quality and quantity of food for the high prices charged. Our wood fired margherita pizza ($32.34) was extremely thin even with toppings. Sadly, it looked like a frozen grocery store pizza and tasted bland. The wood fired grilled cheese sandwich ($16.14) was tiny and tasted nothing special. I am including photos of two of the slices of pizza and half of the grilled cheese sandwich. Based on the quality and quantity of food, I would have given this establishment two stars, however, Anna and Chef Samuel Brought the score up to three stars. The restaurant appeared to be very clean and tidy on the inside and welcoming. I hope the quality of food quickly matches the price is charged.

This restaurant is a gem! The staff is so welcoming and friendly and the overall feel is warm and cheerful. Decor is modern and exciting. We were lucky to be able to sit and watch pizzas being made. All of the staff works so well together as a harmonious team. The manager was outstanding. Our server, A., was also just terrific. Pizzas, wood-fired with a perfect crust were packed with flavor. Jones soda on tap also elevated the experience. I highly recommend this if you are a fan of gourmet pizza. It easily rivals big city pizza spots and we were delighted.

Overall disappointed in our experience at Onyx. We went during Valentine’s Day, and it was clear the restaurant was not equipped for the amount of customers they received. (They literally ran out of pizza dough!) We had to wait nearly an hour for our food; and this was with us choosing to sit outdoors. Given that we were starving, the food did the job but I would not say it was necessarily special. We did enjoy the flatbread but the Margherita Pizza, for the price, we were expecting better quality.
Overall, disappointing ordeal. But, perhaps when they are less busy, i anticipate they would deliver a better overall experience.

Amazing experience from start to finish. The vibes here are incredible—warm, welcoming, and just an all-around great atmosphere.
Our server, Seth, absolutely made the night. His service was phenomenal—super friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like we were at home rather than just another table. That kind of hospitality is rare and deserves to be recognized.
The food was spectacular. The pizza was excellent, and the soup was honestly next level—comforting, flavorful, and perfectly done. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the experience here.
This spot is a gem, and Seth is a huge reason why. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.

Super pleased with today’s lunch. Everything tasted amazing. Ordered the tomato soup with garlic flatbread and 1/2 Margarita 1/2 Butcher pizza. Happy to have a great tasting pizza near by. Staff were super friendly, restaurants vibes were pretty amazing. Although we sat inside the outside views are not disappointing. Will be returning for sure ❤️

We stopped here for dinner around 7pm on a Sunday during off-season. The place was packed but it seemed maybe they were understaffed, as our experience wasn’t all that great and everything was very chaotic. To start, the seating is very cramped unless you sit outside, which they do have outdoor heaters but still was pretty cold.
It took about 20-30 min just to order and get our drinks. Didn’t seem there was anyone really waiting tables, just whoever was available. It was another 30 min to get our pizza – however, we ordered 2 pizzas, and only received one so had to wait another 15-20 min to get the second one. The pizza was good, although it wasn’t super warm by the time we got it. The pineapple cream soda was amazing! The workers were also very friendly, and I could tell they were stressed which is why I am still giving them a good rating. I am hopeful the next time we come back, our experience will be better.

Unexpected surprise. After hiking all of the Emerald pools, this was a great find afterwards. Pizza was very good, service was great and lots of options inside and outdoors. Don’t save room and still have dessert, worth it. Yummy!

We were craving pizza and beer. They don’t have beer, didn’t want to get up and leave because of that so we stayed. Took maybe 10 minutes if not longer before we were even greeted by the waiter to take our drink order. We ordered our pizza (2 of them) first one came within 10 minutes and the second one took maybe another 20 minutes. Pizza was good, but they are so thin, my son could probably eat one alone. Definitely doesn’t fill up 2 people off of 1 pizza. Keep in mind each pizza is between $25 and $29 each… Then $6 for a fountain drink is crazy! Then on top of that 20% gratuity for a party of 4, never seen that before! The chairs are “different ” not comfortable at all… Sorry, but would not come back here again.

We stopped by Onyx Zion after a long 9.1-mile hike today, and it was truly the perfect way to wrap up our day. The bread here is incredibly fresh — honestly some of the freshest we’ve had anywhere. In fact, everything tastes so fresh and flavorful that you can tell they take real care with their ingredients.
And the banana bread? Absolutely devour-worthy. Soft, warm, perfectly sweet… we’re still thinking about it.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Zion and want amazing food made with quality and love.
