As many times as we’ve stayed in Traverse City we’ve never been to this quaint deli tucked next to a big brewery. How we’ve been missing out! I can say whole heartedly this is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Super fresh, super flavorful. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the inside has so much to look at while you wait for your decadent sandwich to be made. Can’t wait to come back and try another amazing sandwich!

Our 2nd visit to Folgarellis included lunch. The soup and half sandwich option were both outstanding. The Godfather with Chili hit the spot. Highly reccomend both. On our first visit l, my wife and I were thoroughly impressed by the extensive selection of charcuterie available. They offered a wide variety, from prosciutto to salami, and everything in between, including a magnificent cheese counter. The wine selection was also quite remarkable, and there was a well-stocked Italian market as well. We noticed several individuals enjoying their lunch, and they all seemed to highly recommend the sandwiches.

I’m a sandwich snob. I used to operate a fully scratch made sandwich shop. These sandwiches are hands down, without a doubt, the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread is incredible. The sauces are perfect. The meat ratio is spot on. The accouterments are fresh. On top of all this, the prices are unbelievable. For the same price of a big mac combo meal, you could have the best sandwich of your life. The staff was so sweet. I appreciated the easy parking and cozy patio.

Our sandwich was amazing. Fresh soft bread with Great flavor. Great cream cheese. Smoked salmon. Everything perfectly fresh with great ratios.
Staff was welcoming and helpful.
The store itself is super cute, a bodega with everything you need for a great meal there or at home. Can’t wait to come back.

In my humble opinion this is a 10/10 Italian deli. This is what you think of when you want a real deli sandwich. And the sandwiches are phenomenal. Must stop place when I’m in the area. A true TC gem!

Hurray! I have found a source for European flour! You can order a 50 pound bag of European flour from Folgarellis for much cheaper than you can order online. My body cannot take American flour, but when I went to France, I could eat all of their wonderful breads. So now I can make and eat bread at home again!

Absolute must stop spot in Traverse City. Legit Deli with everything your looking for. Very cool vibes in there with a lot of fresh product to choose from. House made product and a lot of local stuff. Very nice wine cellar in the back. The sandwiches are huge and at a great price, would highly recommend the Godfather. Will be back everytime I come to Traverse City for sure.

Folgarelli’s is the BEST, and has been for decades! Everything that is right and good about Traverse City, please give them your business.
The sandwiches are made fresh and are very tasty, I love the Chimp Boy Gravel Pants – something unique you don’t find everyday.
The sandwiches take a while to make during the lunch rush, but enjoy perusing the store or wine shop in the back and you’ll be happy you waited.

I tried the sandwich for the first time yesterday and was blown away! The bread was perfectly fresh, the fillings were flavorful and balanced, and every bite felt warm, hearty, and comforting. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere made it an easy place to relax and enjoy a good meal. I can’t believe I’ve lived in Traverse City for over 10 years and never knew about this gem. This will definitely be my go-to spot for a monthly sandwich fix!
