Had the cowboy burger after seeing a video from one of the local food influencers online. The burger was VERY good. One could say even fantastic. And at a fair price. Cold beer as well.
The only mark against this place is the atmosphere. Not the decor or anything like that- but rather that the place smells like an old pack of cheap cigarettes. Which normally doesnt bother me. Its a bar. Whatever. But for whatever reason, the smell from the smoking section permeates the entire restaurant. To the point where one could lose their appetite. Please figure out the airflow situation as I’d love to try the rest of the menu and give back that fifth star.

My husband and I went for lunch today for the first time after seeing a local food bloggers video. The food was phenomenal!!! We had the Ruben poppers, I had the mushroom burger, and he had the cowboy burger. I can honestly say this was the best food we’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. So there’s a group on Facebook called the Dayton foodies group… I see Carmichael’s pub referenced all the time for one of the best burgers and wings In Dayton. I finally got the opportunity to try it today.
Let me start off by saying nothing was bad. My wife ordered the cowboy burger with hand, cut fries. I had 10 of the hot garlic wings.
Like I said, the burger wasn’t bad but for people to rave about it like it’s one of the best in Dayton I thought was a huge oversell… The hand cut fries I did enjoy sometimes those can be tough at almost any restaurant where occasionally you’ll get soggy ones, but these overall we’re fairly crispy. I can tell the wings were made with fresh chicken, which was a huge plus for me. I consider myself a wing connoisseur. I really enjoyed the hot garlic sauce. I thought it was top-tier. I wouldn’t say they’re the best wings in Dayton, but they are definitely far better than average bar wings!
Ultimately, what was disappointing was the service I asked the waitress for water several times, We also waited over an hour and a half for our food, There was little to no communication about the wait.
At the end of the day, I think my expectation was just too high in the price that I paid reflected what my expectations were compared to what I actually received.

Ate here with my kids tonight. The hand rolled poppers are a must get! The burgers were perfect. Hand cut fries were awesome. Great prices on food and drinks. The Diamond pool tables play great. Pinball. Golden Tee, and all the staff and customers were super cool. Will definitely be back!

Very friendly and attentive staff. I got the Southwest burger and hand cut fries. A ton of food for the price! Definitely would ask for lighter toppings, but the burger was delicious. Very tender and very flavourful even without all the stuff on it. The fries were crispy and fresh. So stop in and try it out!

Nice dive bar in Dayton. Placed an order for burgers as I kept on hearing recommendations for them. The burgers are definitely better than the namesake on their door! Great cook on the meat, buns weren’t soggy after a 15 minute drive, and they tasted great. While the chips and dip are really good, I’d opt for the fries.

The only thing I didn’t care for is the wait time on food. The servers are friendly, the drinks came quickly and the food itself is really good, but waiting over a half hour for just an appetizer… A man could die of hunger waiting for a meal here!
