Hands down the best ramen place in the OBX. The only ramen place? Yes. But delicious nonetheless. This place is amazing. We love it. A near weekly experience for us locals. Get the spicy ramen and add spice to it, plus an extra egg. You’re welcome!

Wow, Hokkaido Ramen absolutely blew us away! First off, their Thai tea/Boba Tea selection is impeccable – and let me tell you, it’s the good Thai tea (none of that fake, watered-down stuff). Service was excellent too; we were seated super quickly and taken care of right away.

The food was AMAZINGGG. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of authentic Japanese food at a tourist destination, but my god… the takoyaki was SO fire, the chicken karaage was crispy and flavorful, and my husband said his Chashu Don was exceptional. We were both super impressed.

For two Thai teas, the karaage, taiyaki, and Chashu Don, the total came to about $50 – which we thought was really reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

Definitely check them out and support this spot – you won’t regret it!

We had a great meal here last night! Leo and his staff were attentive and friendly, sharing their best dishes with us. We had the calamari, spring rolls and we shared a pork ramen bowl. We also shared a strawberry milk boba—perfectly balanced and refreshing. Thanks, Leo!

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is amazing, sweet staff, and a clean dinning area. They made me the BEST iced green tea, to go with even better ramen. Definitely a top five favorite on the beach.

Decided to stop here shortly after it opened last week after visiting the Wright Brothers Memorial.

I was able to take a seat immediately and they took my order quickly.

The tea was very pleasant and fruity.

The takoyaki was delicious. Just remember these suckers are meant to be piping hot, which these were, so be careful when eating them so as not to burn your mouth. I tend to tear a hole in them to let some steam escape first before eating.

Finally the ramen was extremely good. The chashu pork in the ramen was incredible. I could eat an entire bowl of just that pork. The broth was savory. The eggs were perfectly jammy in the middle. I ate everything and even finished off the broth.

I was stuffed after this meal and immediately fell asleep upon getting back to where we were staying. I don’t think I woke up for about 4 hours lmao.

The staff was also incredibly friendly.

Would definitely visit again.

So good! I was skeptical but it was delicious!! I got the tonkotsu ramen and the pork buns. They even had little Halloween toothpicks for the pork buns. The Thai tea boba was pretty good but the ramen and pork buns were definitely the stars of the show. Prices were also very reasonable.

First time attendee but I am a long term supporter of Sonya. The restaurant was clean and I was immediately warmly greeted by all staff when I walked in. No one was there but I sat at the bar when I saw Leo was working. I got the chicken ramen and because it was so good I ordered the miso pork ramen. It made miso happy.

15 February 2026 – New place in town. Somehow didn’t notice for a few months, but was immediately intrigued, as it’s the only actual ramen restaurant I know of anywhere in the region. Finally gave it a try. Very good. Will be back.

So nice to have another flavorful option around here! Local restaurants are overwhelmed with southern-type food and BBQ, which is all pretty bland.
