We had a great time at the Ven yesterday thanks to the great staff and atmosphere. We had an excellent bartender, Ever who made excellent and high quality drinks through the day. He was very helpful also with assisting with a towel service and answering questions. If you go, try the watermelon cocktail, but ask for it to be made Ever’s way. It’s very good!

I love this place; the vibe and the view are amazing. I love taking photos there. The drinks are always great. Pablo, the bartender, makes the best cocktails and makes great suggestions. He’s also very friendly and attentive. I’ll be back soon to spend another day by the pool!

Pablo the bartender was very knowledgeable and professional. I am retired from Marriott and understand the service level. Pablo exceeded our expectations. Very friendly, efficient kept his bar immaculately clean. He is truly an asset to the company.
For years I have only stayed at The Mayflower or the Ritz Carlton when visiting DC. Our experience at The Ven was enhanced by Pablo insuring that this will be our new destination point.

Food was subpar. They forgot about my nachos I asked to make sure they were remade but they weren’t. $20 cold nachos. Website said Happy hour was 3-6pm but was told by the bartender there is no longer happy hour. False advertisement which made we rate it a 2 stars. Drinks were nothing to talk to about. Only thing was my kids enjoyed the pool.

Great vibes here. Drinks were great and pool is cute for laying out. It gets crowded quickly so def not for swimming laps or low key kickback. We had a super fun Saturday afternoon here. Would definitely go back.

The stay was wonderful! The staff at the front desk are amazing ! Specially Lyle at the front desk, he was just a sweetheart to us. We booked our stay prior to them implementing the daily amenity fee. He waived it off of our stay and informed us that he will be more than happy to still provide the perks ! We received some sent sachet of jasmine and lavender which were amazing 🙂 In addition to that he provided us with late check out because our flight was later in the afternoon. He also gave us some great tips of how to get around since it was our first time in DC.

Also my room was provided with daily housekeeping and my housekeeper was just a sweetheart too but forgot her name unfortunately.
My only Con was the bathroom size, as it was super small and there was no ventilation.

This bar on the top of the hotel with a pool has a nice view of the city. Not that DC has much of a skyline. The pool is nice to relax after a day of exploring the museums. We went during the day for a couple drinks during Pride. We also came back in the evening before dinner for pre-drinks. It wasn’t crowded. A couple people in the pool. The bar as a selection of food and cocktails. The bar service was friendly. Drinks are about what I expect from a hotel roof bar.

Visited on a Saturday late afternoon. When the bartender was asked about happy hour he claimed there wasn’t one. Although the sign at the hotel lobby clearly stated there was one from 4-7pm. Based on quality, the drinks are super overpriced. The rooftop itself is small, an okay view. Don’t waste your time visiting.

Our review is split between the cocktail bar and the rooftop bar…..because the rooftop is actually closed for the season!! Not very helpful that this fact isn’t advertised on Google or TripAdvisor by the hotel.
However, the cocktail bar is very good, and Jorge (The Guru from Peru!!) is excellent. Friday evening (10/20/17 USA not GMT!) in the main bar was lively, vibrant and a great place to be
