Middle Cross Ranch
Nice little Mexican restaurant with good people running the place.
The setup is excellent, with thin crispy chips and a good cheese dip. The salsa was a bid bland for my taste
My two boys each had a kids taco place. They were pretty impressed with the food!
My wife had a tamale platter. The tamales were great, the beans needed a bit more salt but were otherwise quite good.
I had an enchilada platter with cheese and ground beef enchiladas. These were really good. I didn’t particularly care for the red sauce on them though. A bit strongly flavored, but they did have a nice spicy heat!
Overall a great experience, with slower than average drink refills
I will be visiting again and would certainly recommend this place to anyone!

El Vaquero has the perfect combination of tasty food and great service. Portion sizes are generous and everything i have tried so far has been tasty. Thanks for providing Meeker with quality food options!

We got enchilada dinners. My dinner was 2 chicken and 2 beef carne. The seasoning on the beef was fantastic. The chicken was a little dry and not too flavorful. The refried beans were good. The rice was not dry. The margaritas were the best. Really good. The staff that waited on use are great also. We will definitely go back.

Had high hopes for this place, but as you can see by the pictures, the food was less than good. My corn in a cup was mostly liquid with some corn kernels floating on top (and it wasn’t hot temperature wise) I also got two steak tacos and they were the smallest tacos ever for $20. Just doesn’t seem worth it, especially when you can go to a Mexican restaurant and get much more food and a drink for the same price. Also the paper menus were quite dirty.

I don’t know how this place isn’t packed! It was so good. The chips were perfectly thin, crispy, and salty. The salsa spicy without being hot. I ordered the birria platter and it came with a generous helping of meat, rice and beans. My husband ordered cheese enchiladas and cleaned his plate like he hasn’t done in a long time. We will definitely be back!

In a small town (Meeker) just north of Shawnee on hwy 18, there’s a new Mexican food joint worth your time. I lived in Mexico for several years, so I love when I encounter some authentic flavor. I ate here one time before and ordered the quesadilla which was delicious, but where this place really shines for me are their Quesa Birria Tacos. The shredded brisket was tender and full of flavor, and the tortillas were toasted perfectly. I loved the additional grilled onions and serrano pepper to add to the tacos. Also, I found the consume very tasty. The salsa is simple but has good flavor and a kick to it, and the queso dip had some cooked bell peppers and onions in it which added a nice touch. Our server was kind, friendly and attentive. The menu is simple and offers more specific items rather than a huge plate full of sides. The prices are very reasonable, and you can easily eat there for under $15.00. I will be back!

Update: I’ve explored the menu some. I’ve tried the enchiladas, chimichangas, tamales, quesadillas, and tacos. All have been delicious!
I’ve only had the birria Mac and cheese, but it’s amazing! Good service. Friendly staff.

Not the best prices for the food service was ok at best the biria Ramen was 15$ for 2. 50 cent packs of Ramen and they throw less than a 2 dollars of meat seems like a rip off and to top it off it has no cheese
