If you are from LA Baton Rouge going for a trip to Arkansas check this restaurant. Everything here are excellent, all orders we have taste different and taste so delicious. I never had goat for a decade and the Goat Rogan Josh was so really good. The tandoori combination was all good a unique kind of barbecue. Chicken Biryani has two sauce that if you mix it even tastes so much better to compromise the spiciness. Costumer service was personally service by the owner. He is very hands-on. The atmosphere was vibrant and aromatic with all the herbs they use. I wish this restaurant is close to Baton Rouge cuz seems like they have buffet on certain day and I would love try all their menu’s. And oh their online order is non stop so that says it all. Taste of India please come to Baton Rouge!

This was my first time going to Taste of India. I have not had a lot of India food, so I tried a little bit of each. I must say it surprised me. Most but not all of the food was spicy. I should say sweet and spicy. It was not extremely spicy though. I really liked a Taste of India. I had the rice pudding which made me think of my grandmother and growing up. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice. This restaurant has a market also. If you have not tried A Taste of India, give it a shot. You just might like it!

We ordered a bunch of food just to be able to try everything and it was SO GOOD! The owners were so sweet and attentive, answering every question I had. They were also so very kind to my children (ages 5 and 3) giving them free mango juice and even butter chicken to try. We will definitely be going back! I thoroughly enjoyed eating here for my birthday tonight

This was our 2nd time here! The first time we came through the Monroe, LA we found this spot because they had space for us to park Truck & Trailer across the street. That day we left we just couldn’t wait to go back! We’ve been on the i40 lately so now we had a chance to finally go back on the way to GA. They are so nice! And every single dish is absolutely delicious!! It is now a must stop for us when we’re in that area. Thank you Taste Of India

My favorite restaurant to go to for an amazing buffet. The buffet changes so don’t expect to get the same thing twice in a row, unless it’s Naan or butter chicken which seems to be a staple.
Around $30 for 2 people to eat at the buffet during the weekday for lunch, great deal when the food tastes this good.

Monroe’s first and most popular Indian restaurant. Everyone loves the delicious spicy food, the variety of dishes on the buffet, and the friendly and accommodating owner and staff. Popular buffet items are replenished frequently. They are on top of their game when it comes to keeping your large drink glasses refilled.

Excellent lunch buffet Mon- Fri for about 15$ per person, offering differing main dishes daily including several vegetarian options, call ahead for what is available on the day you go. The unsweetened Hot Chai tea on the buffet is excellent, be sure to get it first as you will need to wait for it to cool off a little. Don’t miss the orange hot sauce located next to the salads which i mistook for salad dressing. It’s a great addition to tandoori or lollipop chicken. There are so many great dishes that I have a hard time picking a favorite. The butter chicken is great if you don’t want super spicy. I really enjoy the vegetarian dishes. The photos were from the Thursday buffet. Be warned ⚠️ the food is so good even your clothes will want a bite.

There are not enough words in the English language to describe how amazing the food is here. Every single bite was like trying your favorite food for the first time.

If your looking for delicious Indian food with excellent service this is a perfect place to go. My boyfriend and I enjoyed samosas as an appetizer and mommas chicken and we shared the combination platter. They have many Vegetarian options. I also like how they give you option of a straw and don’t automatically put it in your glass. Also they have a little store connected that sales many things you can’t get at your local Walmart or super one to make authentic Indian food. Plenty parking. Good location. And great prices! The drive from Ruston is worth it!

This place was recommended by friends so I had high expectations.

I called this place on a Thursday and asked how much the lunch buffet was. They said $12.50. When I went to pay on this Friday my bill was $17.95. The lunch buffet is higher on Friday.

This place has a lot of stuff on the buffet. More than most Indian buffets I’ve been to. Some dishes even seemed like Indian knockoffs of Chinese food But I didn’t think the food was as good as other Indian places I’ve been. The Tandoori Chicken and Naan were subpar. These are usually items that are done well in most places. The butter chicken was ok but could have been better. I didn’t really find a standout dish on my visit and I tried most of them. I definitely ate a lot of spice because I was sweating before I was finished eating.

I always enjoy getting to try new places but I didn’t feel this was worth $18 on a Friday. $12.50 Mon-Thurs might be ok. Would I go back, I would try again to see if my first experience was a fluke but I wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t terrible, it just wasn’t a standout.
