This was my first visit to this restaurant. I heard that it is very popular, and they were pretty busy when I got there. I ordered a half chicken, plantains, and cilantro rice. My order was ready pretty quickly.
The skin on the chicken had a nice char and the meat was tender. I would have liked more seasoning on it though. The plantains were mostly good, with the exception of a few that tasted like they’d been sitting around awhile. The cilantro rice was delicious. Pretty good overall, and I would eat there again.

I wish I could give this zero stars . I’ll start to say I want a refund. Never going here again, this is the third time . This has happened, raw chicken. And this time, I asked well done because I’ve noticed every time I ordered here the chicken is never fully cooked . So I asked her can I get well done. The person who was attending me and my friend. She was giving attitude, I got her name as well . Her name is rosa. So rude and not very professional. Anyways we asked can we get well done . How come when we get the chicken, it was more raw then well done , I don’t understand how that works. Did she not understand? Anyways I want a refund because I ended up throwing everything up because I saw the reviews people gave as well . This is unacceptable and unprofessional. This should be fix so you guys can meet you’re own standards ““

Pollo Cabana is a really great spot. The food was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. Everything came out hot and tasted exactly how good Peruvian food should.The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. It’s a nice place to sit, eat, and actually enjoy your time without feeling rushed.The service was excellent, especially Karen. She was very friendly, patient, and helpful throughout our visit. She made sure we were taken care of and checked in at the right times without being overbearing. Her attitude honestly made the experience better.
Overall, this is a solid restaurant with good food, good service, and a nice vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Greenbelt area. I would happily come back.

I’m visiting the area and decided to order from Pollo Cabana. I went for the rotisserie whole chicken on UberEats, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfectly seasoned, not too soft, and the spices had really penetrated the meat.
It’s one of the best I’ve had l, I didn’t even need to re-season it like I usually do with others. I hope they keep it up, as this is one of the best spiced roasted chickens around!

I really wanted to like this place because my first order was great, but this second experience was honestly disturbing. As shown in the photo, the chicken I received was visibly undercooked—raw and pink near the bone. Not only is this completely unappetizing, but eating undercooked poultry can lead to serious foodborne illnesses like salmonella or campylobacter, which can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and other severe symptoms.
This isn’t just a quality issue—it’s a food safety concern. I felt sick just looking at it and couldn’t eat it. I won’t be ordering again.

When I live din Greenbelt, this was my favorite restaurant! This was my family’s ’go to meal’ because we knew it tasted good, was fresh, and made to order! Pricing was justifiable as well and never was stingy with their sauces!
However I decided to go back for nostalgia and this was my last time going unfortunately. The picture speaks for itself.
Unfortunately, I didn’t notice until I got to my destination that the chicken was completely uncooked & I spent $20+
Needless to say, I won’t be eating chicken for a while and I’m side-eyeing ALL Peruvian chicken places
