Wow! Some of if not THE best Italian food I’ve had in the states! The presentation was incredible! Love the atmosphere and the service was spectacular!

Super authentic and very neighborhood vibes— not touristy

Service and food quality both fell well below expectations, very disappointing. The bread was served cold, the portions were unreasonably small (we were charged $30 for just three undercooked scallops – pictured), and the overall food quality did not justify the prices.

The most concerning issue was with the tomahawk steak. The menu listed it at $57 per pound, but our server—french Italian lady who turned out to be the owner lol—never disclosed the steak’s weight before preparing it. This lack of transparency led us to reasonably expect a much lower total, yet we were ultimately charged $180 (and that was just for the steak). At no point were we informed of the ounces or given the opportunity to approve the final price beforehand.

In addition, the meat quality was poor, loaded with fat, and did not taste fresh – interactions with management felt unprofessional and unwelcoming.

Overall, this felt more like a money grab than a dining experience. I genuinely hoped this place would be good, but based on our visit, I cannot and WILL NOT recommend it to anybody. I STRONGLY suggest others consider dining elsewhere.

A not-so-hidden gem for those who know the real deal for excellent north-central Italian cuisine.

We had the beef tartar with white truffle (a seasonal special) that was as amazing as it sounds, and a pear carpaccio that was light and delightful. For dinner we had their signature dish, tortellini in brodo (outstanding) and lasagne bolognese (sumptuous). The tiramisu was incredible.

Valentina, our sever, makes the whole place come alive with her energy and great menu and wine suggestions.

An authentic experience away from the bustle of Ocean Drive.

Our Valentine’s Day dinner turned into one of the most humiliating dining experiences I’ve ever had — and what’s most shocking is that the person who treated us this way was the owner.

We ordered three dishes:
• A tomahawk steak priced at $58 per pound
• Scallops (only three scallops were served)
• A pasta with prosciutto, which was actually very good

The tomahawk steak was the issue. It was overwhelmingly fat and extremely tough. I took one bite and genuinely could not chew through it. For the price, the quality was unacceptable.

My boyfriend calmly asked if the steak could be removed from the bill since it was inedible. We were prepared to order additional food instead. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the owner became defensive and argumentative at our table.

She ultimately told us to leave. We quietly complied and began walking toward the door. As we were about to exit, she spread her arms across the doorway, implying we were trying to leave without paying — after she had just instructed us to leave.

She then instructed an employee to call the police and accused us of being thieves. Law enforcement arrived over a dispute about an inedible steak, which was deeply embarrassing and unnecessary. At one point, it felt as though I could have been detained over a situation that never should have escalated this far.

This was not just poor service — it was aggressive, unprofessional, and distressing. No customer should be publicly accused or have police called on them for raising a legitimate concern about food quality.

I left feeling shaken and extremely disappointed. I would not return.

Among all the overhyped spots around, it was such a happiness to find Via Emilia! Everything here feels stylish and detail-oriented — the food was delicious, the wine was great, and the atmosphere was just perfect.

Vía Emilia is a true gem — the food is exceptional and undeniably authentic Italian. You can taste the passion in every dish, with flavors that take you straight to Italy. The owners are always present, welcoming guests with warmth and genuine care. It’s rare to find a place where the quality is this consistent. Hands down, the best Italian food we’ve had in a long time. Real, heartfelt, unforgettable.

Wonderful dinner at this charming little spot in South Beach! The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, and the owners are truly lovely—they make you feel like you’ve just walked into their home. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience (approved by a real Italian!), this is the place to go. Highly recommended

We’ve dined here a couple times and have always been happy with our experience. The staff is pleasant, though overworked and understaffed so be patient while waiting to have your order taken.

The amusement bouche of mortadella and parm was excellent and a delightful welcoming. To start, we really enjoyed sharing the Polpette Pancetta e Piselli and Carciofi e Parmigiano. For our entrées, we loved the fresh homemade Tagliatelle al Prosciutto di Parma. The Gramigna Sporca Faccia was also good. The 2016 VIANDANTE MONTECUCCO paired well with our meal.

I can definitely see this as our new neighborhood spot. Good food, and great value.

Went here for a pre-show dinner on the advice of a friend. Very cute atmosphere and unusually quiet for a Saturday night when we arrived at 5, didn’t get any busier when we left around 6:30. We had a few glasses of wine and started with salads and a braciole app, both were good and satisfying. I had the spaghetti Vongole which was good, just overly oily as in swimming in oil, not necessarily how this dish should be. The olive oil they use by the way is outstanding. My wife had a chicken cutlet with prosciutto which she thought was overly salty. My buddy got a seafood pasta special which was excellent. Overall is was very good
