Outstanding gem. Extremely fresh quality of seafood and creative dishes. Loved the Gunkan de Salmão and the Ura Bicho. Save room for the Tarte de Limã. Can get a bit crowded as it is small inside, worth the wait if you can. The staff is gracious and kind! 🙂

After a year in Japan, we were impressed by the flavorful chef’s specialties—truly authentic. The gin and tonic was perfect too. They forgot the ginger, but everything else was great. Tip is included in the check. Highly recommended!

We are a family that knows our sushi. We came into PAIma because we happen to be in the area. Instead of ordering off the menu, we asked the sheriff to prepare a bunch of different dishes for us, that would be representative of their technique and what they thought would be good at the moment.
We sampled about seven or eight different dishes. The wine selection was also great.
We came back the next day because we wanted more. And then we came the next day as well.
The only thing that we can say about this place is that it is truly amazing. The service, the food, the quantity, the quality. All of those things put check marks in all of the right places.
We have had sushi on many continents and this is definitely one of THE BEST places.
Go off the main path and come to PAIma for an amazing experience.

We had a fantastic Valentine’s Day dinner at Palma Sushi! From the moment we arrived, Sofia and Horisont made us feel incredibly welcome with their impeccable service.
We started with a bottle of rosé wine, which paired beautifully with the 32-piece sushi platter. Every piece was fresh, expertly crafted, and full of flavor. The quality and presentation truly impressed us! We enjoyed it so much that we ordered another dish to keep savoring the experience.
A huge thank you to the team for making our evening so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better Valentine’s Day celebration. Highly recommended for sushi lovers!

This is a very small yet impressive sushi restaurant. The sushi bar was open so you could see the people making the sushi behind it. There were only about 8 tables in the restaurant, making it very intimate and cozy (might be better to reserve as it did get full). The wall art is beautiful. The food is incredibly fresh. We had a wide variety of sushi and sake along with it. Great value, great food, and great service.

Great team. All were very welcoming and friendly. Food was good, with a few creative rolls.
They don’t have sake which was a letdown and white wine wasn’t chilled. They graciously offered 2 glasses of wine while we waited for the wine to chill a bit.
Would go back and definitely would recommend. Hopefully they get some sake for next time!

Have eaten here twice during my 4 days at Sao Miguel. The quality of the food is amazing. The fish is fresh and smooth and the service very friendly. Who needs Japan sushi if you have Portugese sushi… the vegetarian options were less impressive but still 5 stars.
