Hanaya Asian Fusion – Flower Mound
One of the best fried rice in town! Staff always happy and greet returning customers.
Rice is such a delicate dish, like fish. You can undercook, or overcook it. This place… Nails it, every time. Both white and fried.
Most of the time I prefer white rice, much healthier. But, there’s something magical happening with your taste buds when you eat their fried rice. Almost hard to put it in writing. I encourage you to visit and try it for yourself. Be the judge.
The dishes are always, generous and presentable. The side salad with a pink dressing are among of my favorites. Salad always looks fresh, full of great ingredients. Side soup is always fresh, hot and delicious.
Even though it’s located at Lakeside, Flower Mound, every time I’ve visited, I’ve never felt in Flower Mound. They’ve done a great job making you feel transformed into a place of relaxation and enjoyment. Always clean and well lit.
Bar area is another of my favorites to highlight. I don’t drink alcohol but I’ve always appreciated a good bar setup. It’s elegant and simplistic.
And, of course, I can’t forget that they have additional seating area if you want to have a fun presentation of watching how your food is made. Highly recommend! I’ve eaten at both sides and the service is always outstanding. I’ve never had a bad experience.
If you’re looking to have a nice time and great fresh food, “Hanaya Asian Fusion,” is the right spot for you. I can’t recommend it enough.

This Hibachi restaurant is a great place to go. Cici, our server, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered lobster, scallops, and shrimp, and all of the food was cooked perfectly. However, the hibachi cooker could have done a bit more tricks compared to other places I’ve been. The atmosphere was also quite quiet, which I appreciated. Overall, I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Awesome place to be. This is our second time here and it always is a blast to get hibachi. Very busy but still was greeted with the best customer service and food service. They had a special offer of wagyu beef and it was delicious!!!! We’ll be back for more next time

Ordered a Wagyu steak to add to our Christmas Dinner at our table. For 70 dollars, it came to our disappointments. It was cubed, cooked on the iron plate, came as cold and with some mixed vegetables. It didn’t taste like Wagyu at all, lots of hard to chew tendons in it. We ordered medium rare, the cubes were cut into small pieces and overcooked, loom warm when served on a dinner plate. 4 of us were not able to finish it, packed to take home, no one wants to have it, and our son said that the 5 dollar 5 Oz tenderloin wrapped in bacon tast better than it. The noodles and sushi were good. The photo shows what was left after 2 efforts put in.

Since 2020 we have been royal customers to Hanaya Hibachi for birthdays and special occasions.
1.-I noticed since last year that the restaurant has very dirty floors, old white paint with stains almost grey looking . If you can make a flip at least give a nice fresh paint and clean the grout in the floors by the grill.
2.- I came with my family 6 people and I just saw the waitress 2 times when she did the order and at the end.
I needed a cup for the green tea that my husband share with me and the cook had to bring it to me.
3.- I got a fork that it look bad, BAD quality , cheap silver wear from the dollar store or from community kitchens. The plates also are low quality .
I wait 10 minutes
to request the waitress to bring another fork so the hibachi cook bring it to me.
4.- Lack of personnel to maintain a good service in a Sunday night . The waitress apologized but she said they were short staff.
5.- You are in great location but please don’t go down the hill.
6.- We missed Jerry !!!
(we came to celebrate my husband b-day) he was really good to make the celebration special, the manager now said that he didn’t have time to do it. BOOMER

On most days, we thoroughly enjoy the sushi and bar but for the second year in a row they have made Christmas Eve miserable. We booked reservations a month out for 7pm. We arrived and they told us they were behind to come back at 7:45. We appreciated this but turns out it was the first of many lies. We did not get seated until 9pm even though we had been told for over 30 minutes “our table was being cleaned.” There was no management present to apologize or any offer to make amends for the situation. Every party we talked to waited more than an hour past their reservation time. This inability to manage their bookings put the staff in an awful spot with frustrated guests. The bar was filled with dirty glasses. Try this spot but not on a holiday or special occasion.

We had a 5:00 PM reservation and didn’t get seated until 6:00 PM. We didn’t get any food until 6:30 PM. The hostess told us and 3 other parties that we were next to be seated and then seated a group that just walked in. Reservation essentially meant nothing to them. Bar took AGES to even take our order and even longer to get drinks to our table when we were finally seated. Dining room for hibachi looks like a storage room. Staff was clearly overwhelmed and it’s a clear sign that management lacks the organization to handle as many parties as they booked for a holiday (Christmas Eve). Food overall was good but wouldn’t go back.

Extremely slow and overbooked. Horrible at estimating and communicating. We had a 630 reservation and arrived at 615pm early to check in. We were not called until 8pm to be seated. There was nowhere to sit and wait, so my 81 yr old mom had to wait outside. They did not even attempt to apologize or offer space or drinks at the bar. We eventually gave up and went next door for Thai food. What a horrible experience. We will not be back.

Amazing service, food, and atmosphere! As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted. We came today (Saturday) and were sat down at the hibachi table instantly. The food was EXCELLENT. Marco, Tara (unsure if spelled right), and Kevin (hibachi) were amazing! 10/10 recommend. Sitting here now doing review so I wouldn’t chance forgetting. Great job and thanks for the amazing service!
