Decent prices, decent service. There is a lot of seating available and there is plenty of parking. Good for groups. Located off of Clearwater Dr. in Oak Brook. Not entirely impressed but I’m probably a bit biased because this style of food is not my favorite. Make sure you try the cheddar hush puppies.

Happy to see this place open back up. The wedges were not worthy of being on my plate. Everything else was on point and delicious. A must recommend I think me are the fries and chicken. The entire staff was helpful.

Had the brisket sandwich and a side of creamed spinach. The brisket was fresh, sliced right in front of me, had a good taste. The creamed spinach was good no complaints. The bun however was a bit dry, should have just ate the meat. The sauces were good, no complaints. The place reminds me of when I lived in Texas kind of, maybe like Rudy’s BBQ a bit. A little pricey for bbq but hey your in Oak Brook Illinois.

The food looked like it had been sitting around for a long time. The barbecue was lackluster and had no flavor. Since they sell their rub I expected it to have some taste but it tasted like a poor roast beef. Also the brisket was very grey & dry and did not pass the fold test. The sides were horrible and looked like they came out of a cheap cafeteria. Flavorless, mac and cheese. The lemonade was very watered down.
Sauce was legit good l

Take your money elsewhere. Everything was dry & sitting out way too long. The portion of my brisket sandwich was much larger than what we were served for the ENTREE sized burnt ends. They weren’t burnt. Mac and cheese has no flavor. The corn and banana pudding are good.

Real Urban is a must visit spot to grab a quick bite of slow cooked comfort food. It’s an order, pay and have a seat kinda place, which is great when you stomach is growling or the kids are restless. Real Urban Barbecue is family friendly and the atmosphere is just right for a no fuss lunch or dinner. I ordered the chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole. I recommend all three! Dress up the chicken sandwich with the barbecue sauces available on the table or enjoy it plain, either way it’s fresh made (about a 10 min wait but well worth it) and delicious. The Brussels sprouts with bacon are also a must order menu item. You really can’t go wrong here! Stop in and enjoy for yourself- you won’t be disappointed!

Food is good just wish the ribs could be a little more tender. I love the spicy barbecue. $35 for two not bad.

The menu is a bit overwhelming, there are so many choices. The food, however, was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. It wasn’t crowded so it was a great place to gather with my small group. And the portions are huge. Overall great experience.

A very good pulled pork sandwich, the beans were decent. I enjoyed the sweet pickles with a spicy hot after tast. The corn bread was…I wouldn’t order it next time I go there.
