Boston Ale House in West Roxbury is an awesome spot for a night out. The atmosphere is huge, upscale, and lively, and they had a great live band (KTO Duo) taking requests all night, which made the whole experience even better.
We tried a bunch of drinks and everything was great — the Harvest Mule, the Coco Loco 1800 Margarita, the Down East Caramel Apple Cider, and the Pumpkin Espresso Martini, which was basically dessert in a glass.
Food-wise, everything hit. The Dirty Buffalo Wings were meaty and spicy, the Spicy Pork Eggrolls were legit delicious, and the Steak Tips from Dom’s were cooked perfectly. We also had the French Dip with truffle fries and the Nashville Fried Chicken Pizza, both solid choices. Finished with churros and coffee ice cream, which was the perfect ending.
If you’re looking for a place with great food, strong drinks, live music, and a fun date-night vibe, Boston Ale House is absolutely worth a visit

This was more upscale than I was expecting, definitely giving fancier date night vibes than dive bar. I went on a weeknight and there were only a few patrons at the bar.
I don’t really have any clear complaints besides the burger being underwhelming. Their cocktails were solid prices were reasonable. Food came out relatively fast. It was a 3 for food, but a 4 for everything else.
Their trivia nights or live music nights might be interesting to try out!

My sister and I are visiting from the DMV area/Baltimore and really wanted Fish and Chips. We ordered the fish and chips which totalled to $24. We were absolutely disappointed!!! And since we purchased our meal so late, we were forced to not eat at all for the night. The fish was RAW! The batter from the fish never actually cooked which caused a gummy cast as you can see in the photos. It was terrible and we were unable to eat! The fries were cold and tasted like they fried the fries in the same grease as the fish which was disgusting. We sent the fries back but didn’t notice the fish until we had already left. I am very disappointed with what we were served lastnight I would NEVER recommend!

Had reservations and was immediately seated once we got there! Service was great everyone was quick and friendly. Salsiccia pizza was phenomenal!! sweet chili wings were cooked to perfection everything was piping hot and fresh! mimosas were perfect as well this whole restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! will definitely be back soon!

I love Boston Ale House! I’ve been there a few times, and my fiancé and I absolutely love the vibe and the food. We decided to host our engagement celebration there with our closest friends and family, and everything was perfect. The staff was so helpful and attentive, especially Olivia, who took great care of our party throughout the night. We had an amazing time and loved the live music as well. No complaints. I came in on Sunday night and they were offering a $1 wing special. I really enjoy spicy things and our server Kelsey suggested a ghost chili flavor. We got an app, wings, and 2 beers for less than $50. Great deal. Great service.

Olivia was absolutely amazing!!! Best service I’ve had in such a long time. Ak Cody was playing live music and the set the atmosphere for a wonderful night for me and my family. We had apps and I have to say the boneless buffalo tenders and truffle fries were amazing! We also had the nachos and they were top notch. 10/10 for us

This is my 2nd visit and won’t be my last. The place has a lively atmosphere and a busy bar area. The dining room is right next to it but it almost feels separated from the fun though. The food has all been delicious from the nachos to chowder, fish and chips, creamy shrimp Alfredo and the southwest burger cooked to perfection! I have only been in for dinner but excited to try their brunch!! Definitely worth a try. Parking was a bit tough but there is plenty on Centre and side streets. They do take reservations!
