Sam’s Pizza was a favorite when I was in high school (26 years ago ), and it’s still as great now!!
We are in town visiting for just a couple of days, and we decided to stop in to eat before leaving in the morning.
Even though we went in during their last hour open (sorry guys!!), the food was still superb and the staff was great!
You must visit Sam’s if you are ever in Buckhannon!

Disappointing Service for a Loyal Customer – Needs Immediate Improvement
I have been a frequent customer of Sam’s Pizza for years and have always appreciated the friendly service, especially from the manager, Bob. However, my last two sequential experiences ordering for my family of five have been deeply frustrating and have unfortunately driven me away.
A persistent issue is the lack of a proactive pickup time—I am always told it will be “a few minutes” and left waiting in the lobby.
The First Incident: The previous time I visited, I was told my order needed “a few more minutes.” I waited in the visible customer area for nearly 15 minutes. When I finally went to the counter to ask, the order had been sitting on the rack for most of that time. No employee notified me.
The Second Incident (Tonight): Tonight, the same thing happened. The restaurant was nearly empty. After waiting another approximately 15 minutes, clearly visible to all the employees in the work area, I had to approach the counter myself. Employees saw me waiting the entire time, yet a woman was on the phone, and another employee walked by visibly distracted while shoving food in his mouth. The pizza boxes and sub packages I finally had to ask for were already lukewarm.
When paying above-premium prices as a loyal, repeat customer, this level of inattentiveness and service failure is unacceptable, especially when it happens twice in a row. It is incredibly disappointing to realize my food had been sitting and getting cold while I waited patiently. I told the employee this would be my last time visiting. I know Sam does a lot of great things for our area, but your employees need to do a lot better.

Are you in Buckhannon WV and looking for a great slice of Pizza? Look no further than Sam’s Pizza. I prefer a nice thick crust so I was skeptical of this thin slice of pie but boy was I in for a surprise! Turns out, this thin crust is pretty awesome! You can place an order or eat from the Pizza Bar. Yes you heard me a PIZZA BAR! When was the last time you ate at a Pizza Bar?! We loved it! Seriously ya’ll you gotta try this!

Reasonably priced buffet. I’d like to support an independent restaurant and this place is not bad, its just not very good. A little more spices and tomato sauce and their pizza would taste a lot better. Some pizza on the buffet was just room temperature. Awfully tired 70s rock music playing overhead. Sam’s Pizza is a great place to get pizza. We had the buffet which had a good selection of fresh pizzas and cheese bread. The salad bar was well maintained and fresh. The atmosphere is nice with a selection of booths and tables. The Black and white photographs of celebrities that line the walls provide for interesting conversation pieces. We will return.

It’s the salad bar for me! The salad bar has a great variety of fresh vegetables, a few protein choices, several other types of toppings, and a handful of dressings to choose from. The assortment of pizza that is kept up at the bar has been great every time I’ve visited. The booth seating is spacious.

Like any pizza place you can order pizza or things off there menu. But my favorite is to get the buffet. It’s all you can eat salad bar and pizza bar. For two people the buffet with drinks was $26.25. PS. Most of the time you can request a pizza with a couple topping you’d like to have on the bar and they will make it. Great staff and great food!
