These people must have went to a different restaurant than we did!! Truth is, walking up to this quaint old house… it did looked inviting. The railings going up the stairs were covered with mold. That alone should have told me not to go in. Since it was Sunday breakfast, we ordered a expresso (no reg coffee available) and the quiche Lorraine. This was served to us burnt. This quiche is prepared with spinach and egg only. We found it very disappointing that there was no bacon or ham in it. Our bill was over $30 which we felt was way, way overpriced for what we received. We will not recommend this cafe to anyone. :((

We had breakfast here for my husband’s birthday. He is a bacon fiend, and no matter how much he ordered they were happy to prepare it. Great staff, great space, and great food. My very picky husband enjoyed his birthday breakfast. Cheers!

Wow, wow, wow. Excellent bistro, food is amazing, service is amazing, the home is amazing. Had the frittata with a caramel latte and my friend had the avocado egg toast and a croissant (best croissant ever). Food fresh and very tasty, Absolutely love this place!

We discovered this month-old cafe by accident, and we were pleasantly surprised. The personnel were very hospitable; the food was great: minestrone and Stromboli for me, ham and cheese panini and salad for spouse. $10 each. Drinks seemed pricey. We’ll return!! Credit cards are accepted.

I went here for breakfast twice while in Punta Gorda for a week. Sitting out on the porch in the shade was wonderful. The portions are big! I thought the coffee was a bit overpriced, but the rest of the experience was so good.

I attended Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and as I was heading back to St Pete, I noticed this Cafe a block from the Church. Its quaint and charming name and decor drew me in. What a great menu! Many delicious choices. I had salmon on a NY bagel with cream cheese and capers and had to try the chicken pate with toast points. The bagel was accompanied by a side of greens drizzled with basalmic vinegarette. A variety of tastes made this a wonderful delectable experience. The service was great!

This is a jewel in Punta Gorda! Great location in a charming, older home right down town. Fabulous home made French and Italian breakfast and lunch menu. Everything is home made. Delicious European coffee selections.

This is such a cute and cozy little house in the historic district of downtown Punta Gorda. We went for Wine Wednesday and enjoyed some soft live music. They were serving appetizers and desserts to pair with wine, so we decided to try the vegetable spreads on naan, the canolli, and the lobster claw with vanilla custard all paired with a sweet white wine. And it all was delicious! The canolli was just as sweet as my great grandmother used to bake it in her little Italian kitchen. The custard was rich and the perfect consistency, and the lobster tail pastry was light and flaky. I really enjoyed the veggie spreads too. The eggplant had a nice spice to it, and the tomato-based spread had a subtle smokey flavor that tasted amazing with the wine. If you’re looking for a good mid-week date spot or just a place to gossip with the girls, reserve a table at Ana’s European Cafe and experience the cozy splendour of Wine Wednesday.

One of the best European style breakfasts I have had. Love atmosphere and very kind staff. I would recommend either an espresso or cafe Americano along with a croque madame.
