Food was a tad expensive for the amount which left me hungry when I left and the water tasted like it was straight outta the sewer, but my gf really liked it

I love going to Cafe Lit especially to get work done or see friends! Food is great! I’ve tried most of their items and they’re all pretty good! My favorite is the Smoked BBQ Pork pizza! The only downside is, there are not many charging outlets and their seats aren’t the most comfortable.

Great local place to hang out or to grab a quick bite. There’s plenty of seating to bring your laptop and do some work while enjoying coffee and a sammie.

They mostly offer personal pizzas and sandwiches. The breads on the sandwiches and the crust on the pizza is excellent, but the toppings can be pretty bland or just weird on some of their offerings. The Smoked BBQ and Corn is my go-to pizza, but I’ve tried almost all of them. The sandwiches offer a good variety of flavors.

The service is usually quick and friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic both inside and out.

Ate there today, highly recommend. This has been my daughter’s go to place as a student at Purdue and was her requested place for her last meal before moving out of the area. I’ve had their take out a few times which has always been good, but was even better dining in today! I am picky about chicken but tried the Caprese chicken sandwich. It was amazing and I ate the whole thing, which says a lot. Good portions, fair prices, fresh tasty food, casual cozy atmosphere. Love this place!

9/15/24 Our book club meets at this location fairly regularly. We usually have a pretty decent experience. We all come in from various locations to meet at this central location to us. We’re a group of moms of varying ages, well over college-age. The food here is always delicious, which keeps us coming back.

On a recommendation, we were encouraged to try the Sweet Orange Bread. Two of us decided to share a slice. They had all of these beautiful inch-thick slices under a glass dome and they gave us a quarter-inch end piece.

We asked for a better slice of this orange bread and they refused to switch it. Instead, we were told that it’s the end piece so it’s a little smaller. “Same price?” No answer. They said if we want a real slice, we would have to buy another one. We walked away feeling like we were putting them out. They should have made this right. (This particular piece should never have been sold to begin with.)

We are all associated with many other clubs who look for places to meet regularly. We will think twice about coming here next time.

99% of my reviews are five ⭐️ to help small businesses. This place let us down with their inability to see that the slice they gave us was severely lacking compared to the large, beautiful pieces next to it. The hot chocolate had way too much chocolate and was not very good, but their lunches were great. Some of us had pizzas and some of us had salads. No complaints about anything else. Overall a nice experience, aside from the sweet bread incident.

Cafe Literato is a cozy place with a satisfying menu and delicious desserts. The staff are always pleasant and the atmosphere and ambiance are to be desired. Due to the design, when the location is busy it can get noisy but not enough to keep me from continuing to hold business lunches here. It’s an easy top choice!

And the Bourbon Street pizza is divine!

Cute little coffee place. I had just the normal drip coffee (a dark roast) and it was very good. My husband had an espresso, which was perfect. We were there around noon and it wasn’t busy. There is plenty of seating. The atmosphere of Cafe Literato was very warm and inviting. It felt very cozy and relaxing. Everything was clean. It’s the perfect place to meet up with a friend and chat over coffee.

The bathroom was a little difficult to find because it is in a different part of the building but it was fine and they were very clean.

Overall, loved it!

Excellent environment, nice music, and a perfect place to study, work or chill. The coffee is lovely and the food is good. Personally recommend the ice moca with almond milk and the margarita pizza. The shiitake mushroom pizza is good as well, but a bit salty. Overall, the service is excellent, and love the environment.

I discovered Literato earlier in 2022. I tasted several pizzas and liked The Adam more. It costs $10.70 with tax.

Sometimes I get more of each ingredient, sometimes, the chef gets stingy, and I can even count how many chicken slices and nuts they put in my pizza (pictures attached). So, it depends on who on the shift is on that day.

They offer one size only and I wouldn’t recommend sharing due to its size. (:

The Adam has Tomato and Onion Jam, Chicken, Spinach, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Asiago Mozzarella Blend, and Toasted Walnuts.

About the taste: You can taste all ingredients, but chicken taste better if you eat it with the cheese on it.

Overall, I like the vibe there. Nice place to spend with a family and use as a business office. (:

Good drinks, good food, great environment for studying or hanging out. Lots of room for groups or just you and your laptop. This could easily be a frequent and I wish they had a location on campus!
