I was really excited when I saw this location had finally reopened after renovations. My friend and I decided to grab a quick drive-thru lunch yesterday around 1:30pm. I ordered the fish taco meal with a drink, plus two cheesecake bites, while my friend got a hamburger, fries, drink, and churros. Since I don’t eat red meat, I specifically asked the employee to put our orders in separate bags to avoid any mix-ups.
Here’s what happened next:
• My order was correct at first, but my friend’s bag was missing the burger entirely.
• We pointed it out, and this heavy set lady, took my bag back to fix it, asking us to pull forward and wait in the parking lot.
• When they returned the bag, it now had the burger… but my fish tacos were gone.
• I told the lady who brought the food, and she went back inside to retrieve them. At that point, I became very concerned about how many hands had been in and out of our bags — especially since I recently recovered from COVID and am still cautious about hygiene.
The whole situation felt incredibly unsanitary. My friend got so frustrated that he ended up tossing the food out the window, and we left. We paid $29 just for two drinks.
I could tell from the start that the employee wasn’t fully listening when we placed the order — I even warned my friend that something would go wrong, and it did. Staff really needs better training on paying attention to customer requests, especially simple ones like separate bags. It was not a lot to ask.
Unfortunately, this was such a negative experience. I lost my appetite and couldn’t eat until 8 p.m. that evening. This will be my last visit to this location.
