Ordered the Korean Chicken burrito online for pick-up for lunch. It’s a decent size, however it’s primarily fried rice (minimal chicken/veg). I do appreciate the creative flavor ideas, and the fact you can order it as a bowl, burrito or burrito bites, but overall I’d give it a solid ‘Meh’. Pretty shocked at the $3.50 12oz can of soda.

Pretty good Mexican food when you’re bouncing between the bars downtown. The Barilla burrito was tasty, but could have used a little more seasoning. The chips and guacamole was a very healthy portion.

Giving it 4 stars because the food was great. I got the Barriria burrito and it was fantastic. Unique with the mozzarella cheese. Thing was massive and didn’t short you on any of the ingredients. Two major issues. One was the 25 minute wait which I was told is common by someone who goes here frequently. That cannot happen. Foods good but not 25 minute wait good. 2nd was the lack of drink options available and in stock. Especially soda/ non alcoholic options. Got to have more than lemon jarritos and Diet Coke.

Wow! The burritos are massive! I recently found Barrel Burrito and had to try it! The restaurant is a good size with some tables with a tiki theme. I was greeted as soon as walking in and then had to choose from the list of options, which was tough to decide. It is mostly burritos on the menu, but there are multiple options for how to prepare it. It can be prepared rolled in a tortilla, sauced, or in a rice bowl.
I decided on the breakfast burrito, my husband got the steak sauced, and we also got a side of rice, chips, and queso. Everything came in to-go boxes, which helped because the burritos were large! Everything was delicious, I really enjoyed the chips and queso. I cant wait to try some of the other burritos!
We arrived about a half hour after opening and we were the only ones in there, shortly after some more people came in a couple of take orders. We sat at the bar area by the windows, but our view was mostly blocked by the sign. I don’t know if that is here to stay or temporary, but it would be nice to look outside more. Also, I hope they have the opportunity for some sidewalk seating for the summer time.
Can’t wait to stop by again and try some other burritos, I’m thinking the birria or the korean chicken!

My new spot for the sweetest taste of Mexico. Qdoba is fake food and due to an incident with majority of 2nd shift staff at chipotle on East Ogden chipotle is now dead to me. It worked out for the better as there are no “coincidences” in this life. The rewards here accumulate quickly. The flavor profile of the naked chicken bowl is high but I take mines without sour cream or avocado (no pun). And have not tasted their cheese. It’s more expensive but It’s REAL FOOD. And guess what? It’s not a chain so you get what you pay for. EVERY PENNY of your hard earned money is worth it HERE! Any naysayers I DARE YOU TO COMMENT.
DISCLAIMER: I’ve only been here 5-6x, I’m telling you now DO NOT EXPECT EXTRA SAUCES IF YOU DONT ORDER THEM. That’s not how it works at this fine establishment.

Definitely a bit of overhype I’d say from some of the other reviews. First, while service was definitely very courteous it was very slow.
The burrito was not “massive” as I was led to believe. Rather, the burrito was half filled with your meat, rice, etc. and the other half was just the tortilla squished up. Little meat that Chipotle seems like a bargain now after this.
The chips were definitely a comeback. The guacamole was pretty mediocre but the chips were homemade and delicious. The only downside is you don’t get many for the $7 price tag on them.
All in all, I wouldn’t recommend over any plethora of burrito options out there.

This place used to be really good, but the past few times I’ve ordered have been just… bad. My most recent order was a vegan burrito, and it showed up burned, missing the vegan cheese, and probably the worst was that the guacamole inside was hot and clearly heated up separately for some reason?
I don’t know man. Just disappointment all around for the price point these things are set at. Won’t be ordering again.

I stopped by late morning to get my birthday lunch. I was stoked that a new burrito place opened in town and even more stoked to try a Spicoli burrito, a burrito with beef rib meat, jalapeños, garlic potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. Yeah! I was surprised to be the only customer. For as good as my burrito was, this place should be packed. Seriously, get the Spicoli burrito, it’s so tasty! Mr. Hand might not approve of it, but I certainly do!

Great place for some delicious burritos in the heart of downtown! Plenty of different burriots to choose from, but expect to get a burrito, there are a few other options but it’s limited. The chips are homemade and the guac is fresh and delicious! Very cool vibe inside as well, definitely worth a stop!

I lived out in CA for 9 years and they had the best breakfast burritos out there. So when I moved back I have been on a hunt. I lived in Madison and La Crosse before I moved to Milwaukee. I have found some decent ones along the way but the one at Barrel Burritos is top shelf, Sunrise Scramble!! Holds ground with CA. All fresh ingredients house made sauces and the verde is drinkable!
