i love this place too much to call it my favorite “dive” bar. it’s always full of friends and a very attentive staff. stop in for a drink, a game of shuffleboard and leave as a patron.

An awesome laid-back, old-school hangout. Love the old neon sign out front. The owner had been generous to light it up for me when he noticed me out front taking photos. Not a lot of these joints left in South Bend. The Green Star Cafe and it’s sign are real gems.

We had a fabulous dinner at Green Star Cafe tonight! Our server Roy was fantastic and so was our food!! We had the elote, the butcher’s wedge salad, the pork belly special, a fish special and the pear ravioli. Everything was delicious, fish special was ok. Don’t forget the cake in a can for dessert! We Will be back again for sure!

Green Star is the perfect throwback bar. No food and cash only. They have an ATM machine though. Check GSC out with a group of friends, it won’t disappoint!
