The atmosphere is neighborhood red sauce joint (from the 80s). It was a favorite of Frank Sinatra the way it was so clearly it would be hard to change anything after that kind of an endorsement so they haven’t. It is awesome if you crave nostalgia and not if you don’t. I personally appreciated it so it made my experience better. We’ve been coming here for a dozen years but never reviewed it. The most recent visit however deserved mention. Leo’s has always been consistent but this time it truly stood out. Whether it was a lack of experimenting with the menu on our part or tweaks in the offerings on the restaurants part is unclear but there are many gems here. Everyone raves about the bar pies so we got one and it ranked amongst the top pizzas we’ve had in Hoboken, Jersey City, New Haven and NYC which is no small praise. The baked ziti was always a favorite but this time we ordered the daily special lasagna and the baked ziti with the fra diavolo sauce. It was amazing. The bread (from antique bakery) was amazing and that’s not the effect of the way they pour their wine (which is ridiculous) speaking. Take the hint and get the bar pies, mussels and lasagna and bread and get fra diavolo maybe on everything. Enjoy.

This restaurant was a great find! It’s all about Sinatra — nicely decorated with a fun, classic atmosphere that really adds to the experience. The service is friendly and attentive, which makes you feel welcome right away.

I went there with my husband and a friend. We ordered the Manhattan chowder, pasta fagioli, mussels in marinara sauce, cheese ravioli, and tri-color gnocchi — everything was delicious!

I’ll definitely be back, though next time I’ll probably order a bit less so I can leave some room for dessert — the selection of Italian desserts looked amazing!

We were visiting Hoboken and Leo’s was able to accommodate all 9 of us on a Saturday night. Our waitress was lovely and did so well handling such a large party. The apps, entrees and desserts were all delicious and they made my daughter’s birthday meal so special by playing Happy Birthday. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area again!

Sinatra, Frank Sinatra. This Classy restaurant is all about Frank Sinatra, and a really cozy atmosphere. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs with a Caesar salad and it was not only delicious, but the meatballs were perfect! To celebrate my first visit I ordered some Jack Daniel’s Select and the bartender Linda was a delight behind the bar and made my visit even better. I would highly recommend a visit here, especially if you’re a fan of Old Blue Eyes because after all he used to eat here and his stool sits above the bar.

We decided to try this place that was near our last night stay in Jersey, my party and I noticed a decently large wait and decided to asked politely whether there were any way to be expedited seating options. The hostess reacted very strongly and made a very drastic comment about if we “knew” where we are and us and herself being ‘killed,’ which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. A simple “no” would have been fine. This unfortunately set my wife into an anxious state until we left. The entire interaction set a strange tone.. unprofessional.

Edit: Born and raised in Jersey. If I’m offering to pay whatever the price is to skip the wait with a full party.. and pay fully for service? I guess you guys don’t want revenue? I took her response as whatever, again, my wife was anxious after that reply of your “hostess” I think any woman in a similar situation that would have heard that would have reacted the same way, quite unfortunate you as the owner to justify her response. Maybe proper customer service training could save your restaurant from being underwater based off the gossip at your bar.

Nevertheless, I wish your restaurant absolute best and prosperity. Stay blessed.

We have been dining at Leo’s for years and finally writing a google review. Always a great meal and wonderful family atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious. We love enjoying Italian favorites and listening To Sinatra on the jukebox.
Saluti a Grazie Mille.
Back again with some of the family. Everything was amazing. Grazie

Time stands still in this charming, old school restaurant. Strangely I was the only person having lunch on a Wednesday. Hence got full attention from the polite staff. Planned for a soup and a main course. But the quantity of soup was so much that had to skip the baked ziti.

A Hoboken staple. Great bar, great staff, great food. Always leave full and very satisfied. The short rib special feels like I’m eating it for the first time every time I get it. The veal parm, francese, and saltimboca are perfect examples of each dish. The chicken marsala too!

I came with a party of 3. It was absolutely slammed. We barely had to wait for a table. Once being sat our waitress Emily took great care of us. We had espresso martini, pino, egg plant parm, veal parm and meatballs, and some spaghetti and meat balls.
We also started with a personal size margarita pie for an appetizer. Overall great dinner, great service, even on a busy night- you could tell the entire staff was hustling. No body was in first gear taking their time, also the bus boy was on fire. Never saw him slacking around he was like usian bolt cleaning and clearing tables. I understand why this place is a Hoboken staple.

10/10 will be back again. Maybe next time I’ll do the mushroom pie and the daily special.

This restaurant is a gem, especially for anyone who is a fan of Italian food and Frank Sinatra! I loved the gnocchi, baked clams, and mozzarella sticks. Friendly waitstaff, good music, warm atmosphere. They don’t take reservations, so arrive early!
