So, a new “Raising Cane’s” opened in Concord this week and I stopped by to give it a try today. I seriously do not understand the hype for this restaurant chain at all.

I ordered the three finger combo. The crinkle cut fries were hot but had zero taste. If you don’t drown them in salt, ketchup or some other condiment then you obviously enjoy dollar store level food quality. The chicken tenders should be awesome but they weren’t. I appreciate that they are probably standard frozen tenders from Sysco or Performance Food Group, but once again, zero flavor. The coating doesn’t appear to be seasoned at all and not only that, but there was no crispiness to them at all. Limp, frozen chicken tenders from a company supposedly specializing in this one item. Sad. Overall, the entire meal was a slam dunk fail.

The service was good and they were crazy overstaffed, but it’s opening week and to be expected. That will degrade quickly.

Very forgettable experience and although I tried it once, I’ll probably never visit again. Chick-fil-A is light years ahead of this place.

We hope this NH location lives up to the Southern born restaurant’s reputation! We lived in Louisiana and loved Raising Cane’s there! Corporate needs to stay involved so they don’t suffer the same fate of other southern franchises in New England. When stakeholders stop checking in… standards slip, or sometimes dive. Don’t forget about us Raising Cane’s Corporate! We want you here so, stay vigilant! Please!

UPDATE: I decided to return a 2nd time and I have upped my review to 4 stars. I still stand by my original review but thought I might have given them a lower score than they deserve. The food here is high quality and fresh and comparing them to another chain that does something different with chicken was probably unfair….(original review) I guess if Dave’s Hot Chicken didn’t exist the score would have been higher. I found myself comparing it to Dave’s and unfortunately it can’t compete. Dave’s is just so good. But…i must say the service here is fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I thought the prices are fair. I agree the chicken is bland without the sauce and I wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce. The crinkle cut fries are mediocre at best but the coleslaw saved the day. The bread was ok but I’m not much of a bread guy. So if Dave’s Hot Chicken or Chick Fil A were nearby I can honestly say I would never return. But they are not. Just keeping it real.

Really not much to say. The chicken tenders are pretty good, but nothing to write home about; the fries are boring, crinkle cut and mildly salted; the grilled bread is a New England style hot dog bun, buttered and grilled on one side, a bit of a lackluster; I’m not impressed by the signature sauce, it really is a take-it-or-leave-it item. The fact that there are no alternatives for dipping sauce makes this a DOA eatery for me.

I’m not usually a fan of fried food, especially fried chicken, but this place is definitely worth it. Ever since I tried it, I’ve been going about once a week. The drive-thru staff is always friendly and smiling, and everything runs very smoothly and organized.

Went in to get a late lunch on my lunch break. The service was fantastic! So I wanted to give a huge shout out to Lola! She was quick to take my order. Extremely kind and friendly! Had an awesome energy and was super professional! Definitely deserves to be recognized for her work! And should be considered for some sort of management position if not already!

Been waiting for Canes to open in Concord! Great service, kind employees. Chicken fingers are super crispy and have great taste, loved the buttered roll and salty crinkle fries. The canes sauce lived up to all my expectations. Lemonade is great, not super sweet.
