My son and I were visiting from out of town and decided to stop in for a meal and drinks after being on the road for nearly ten hours. Unfortunately, our experience was unwelcoming from the moment we entered.
We were not greeted upon arrival. Instead, a gentleman rushed past us and abruptly asked, “How many?” After responding that there were two of us, we were seated while menus and utensils were slid aggressively across the table before he walked away.
When our server arrived, we ordered two margaritas and were asked for our IDs. I provided mine, and my son realized his was still in the car. I went back to retrieve it, but by the time I returned, the server was gone. At that point, my son expressed that the energy felt off and asked if we really wanted to stay. I agreed but wanted to give the experience a fair chance.
Shortly after, another server came by and slammed the chips and salsa on our table without a word. That was the moment we both felt it was best to leave. We exited while still waiting for our drinks.
There was no confrontation just a clear feeling that we were not welcomed. I choose to spend my money where I feel respected and valued as a customer. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the guest experience.

Really enjoy coming here, good food, good service and prices are not bad either. I’ve been coming here for quite a long time now and have yet to be disappointed with anything. Very consistent with good food and service, I actually feel very comfortable here after getting to know several people here over the years.

Very un-welcoming and rude restaurant, Waitress never properly introduced herself, after she brought our drinks and food, we never saw her again. Had to keep getting help from other employees. My friend decided to order the 2 for 1 margaritas and that was a total mistake, it tasted like water with chemicals in it and just not right. After expressing this to someone who told us they were the Assistant Manager (never properly introducing there self ” No Name”) He said because nobody else complained about the margaritas tasting odd, he couldn’t replace or take the drinks off our ticket. The sever was present when the drink was tasted and the problem followed. Definitely don’t like the atmosphere or service on this place. I DEFINITELY DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE DINING HERE, MOOD KILLER 100%. Me and my friends will never be back.

Great ambiance and food portion sizes for Del Sol. The food was good, had better but it was definitely filling. They have a large menu with different items to pick from. Their horchata was good too.

We went to Del Sol with two of our friends plus went to celebrate a friend of our’s birthday. We were told to sit at a table that was dirty close by them by a young woman and she explained they would clean the table for us. Two servers came up and were very rude and said they refused to clean our table for us and were very rude to my friends from Costa Rica and Guatemala. This was the last chance we were gonna eat with them before they went back to their country and this short man spoke to my friend in Spanish which she speaks, where he tried to start a fight with her because she didn’t understand him. He hurt her feelings and made her cry. There was much confusion and no one would listen to us when he explained we were told to sit there. I understand when people are confused by a situation tensions run high, but we were told to sit there and when he asked why we no longer could we were treated with massive disrespect and ignored. We left and when we did so did the rest of our group. Very poor service, very disappointed in the attitude by the staff members and even the manager for blaming us for a decision another worker made. I called the manager and explained the situation and he made the excuse the worker who was rude only “cleaned the tables” but that doesn’t change how he spoke to my friend when she was just confused by what was happening and even apologized. The manager then hung up the phone on me when I said this to him.

I am beyond disgusted with the fact that I spent $22 and some change on take out here for lunch on today. It was shrimp fajita and a side of quest and chips. The food looked like it was barely cooked when I picked it up, and it definitely tasted as such. I has to re-cook my shrimp in order to actually eat it. Also, I’ve never come across a bad tasting quest before. It literally tasted like watered down cheese. I’m so disappointed and am thinking about trashing the leftovers. I don’t want to inflict such a disgusting meal upon my cat. This was the absolute worse Mexican meal I’ve ever experienced!!!!!

This is one of my favorite Tex Mex restaurants in Hattiesburg. The service can be a little slow at times but overall a good dining experience. I highly recommend the fajita chicken and steak quesadillas. The house salsa and quest fundido is pretty good as well. Enjoy @themarketingexpert101

I am always looking for some good and authentic Mexican food and this was my first time trying Del Sol. It seemed to have good ratings. Here’s what I can say. The portions are completely out of control. This may be why it is so popular in the most obese state in the US. The chicken Quesadilla was enough for 2-3 people and the special plate could have fed a family. The salsa bowl they bring out to the table with chips was also seemingly wasteful, no way to eat all that. Now for the guacamole, it needed some cilantro, lime and salt. The margaritas were 2 for 1 but were pretty watered down. If you want HUGE portions that are light on taste, this is probably for you.
